Back in the Hotel...
That night, while everyone was already asleep, Tyla sleeping peacefully on the bed, Leon stood up and went to the work desk.
There was a USB drive on his hand.
Inside this USB drive was perhaps one of the most expensive piece of knowledge in the world, at least to D Rank chanists.
These were pieces of knowledge that no amount of money in the world could buy. They were priceless, and Leon got them without paying a price.
Well, he already paid the price 132 years ago.
Leon opened his Onyx-05 Computer. He stared at it with a complicated expression for a few seconds, then he exhaled and connected the USB drive to the external port that Ren Nora gave him.
Through it, the USB drive connected to the computer.
Imdiately after the USB drive was plugged in, the computer froze for a few seconds, and then billions of lines of data codes imdiately started loading on the screen!
Bzzz!
The high-grade computer projected a virtual projection on the wall showing the contents on the computer screen.
After about 30 seconds of loading, the screen finally stabilized and imdiately, the billions of lines of data codes started disappearing.
After about 2 seconds, 5 compressed files remained on the screen.
They read:
["Cannon Master Class Specialization Exclusive Blueprint: Guass-X Kinetic Accelerator."]
["Cannon Master Class Specialization Exclusive Blueprint: Korrelite-I "Vanguard" Auto-Turret."]
["Technician Class Specialization Exclusive Blueprint: V-7 Kinetic-Ion Barrier."]
["Technician Class Specialization Exclusive Blueprint: Mark-IV Flux Cell Battery."]
["Technician Class Specialization Exclusive Blueprint: Oculus-9 Gridlock Intercept Matrix."]
Staring at the 5 files on the computer screen, Leon’s eyes glead.
After more than 5 months since becoming a D Rank chanist, by abusing his relationships and the connections that he built, he managed to bypass every other D Rank chanist in the world to gather all the Class Exclusive Blueprints of the chanist Class.
For the first ti in his life, well not really since he’d enjoyed the benefits nurous tis already, but Leon truly felt the power of nepotism.
Talent? Who cares about talent when you have connections to powerful people in right places and with the right powers?
It was almost unfair, but when had the world ever been fair?
After months of striving towards it, despite a period of 4 months in coma, he finally got the complete foundation to push towards becoming the most terrifying D Rank Ascended that the world had ever seen.
Apart from his ch suit, his Gun Drone, and his stealth aircraft, he now had blueprints for an Energy Cannon, a Siege Core, a Railgun, a Turret, an Energy Shield that is even better than the AEGIS-V Modulator, a high-caliber Power Battery, and a Defense Matrix, all D Rank!
Together, these were what ford an ultimate chanist, a version of a D Rank chanist that Neo-Tokara had never seen before.
...
Leon intended to start working imdiately from the next day but when Tyla realized his intentions, she reacted in an extre manner.
According to her, Leon should strictly follow the Doctor’s instructions and the Doctor’s instructions was for him to rest for at least 5 days before getting himself involved in anything serious.
Maybe if it was before, Leon would have been able to win the argunt, but now he was vastly disadvantaged.
He surrendered after a lengthy negotiation.
In the end, they t at a common ground and Leon agreed to spend the next 2 days resting.
Within these 2 days, the lovers got to know each other better as for the first ti since they knew each other, they truly spent ti in each other’s company, exploring themselves in ways they’ve never done before.
By the end of the 2nd day, Leon was feeling fresh and ready to go. He was hyped to learn and work on his new projects.
On February 6th, Year 714 A.G, Leon finally resud work.
And for the first ti, he understood Kain’s complaints and truly realized what normal chanists went through.
Leon could instinctively grasp and understand the core concepts of any Class Knowledge or blueprint that he got through the ChronoSystem. But this ti, with the system gone, he had to do it the manual way.
He had to read and learn manually like any other student, like every other chanist in the world.
It took Leon just a few hours in to realize the difficulty of actually learning the core concept of a D Rank Blueprint.
A D Rank Blueprint is vastly different from an F or even an E Rank Blueprint like a plasma knife, the difference is like night and day.
The difference is like learning about Motion and Acceleration in Secondary School Basic Physics Class, only to be introduced to Quantum Physics and chanics in Tertiary School, becoming exposed to complicated theories of Gravity and Black holes.
Each one of the Blueprints was by far the most complicated piece of information that he had ever read, Leon felt like his mind was splitting apart the more he read and tried to understand the complicated theories.
Worse was the fact that he didn’t have a teacher. For so theories, he spent hours ditating on them just to understand them.
Yet he didn’t stop, he gritted his teeth through to all.
Over ti, Leon adjusted his ntality towards learning the new blueprints as he approached it the sa way that he would approach a deadly battle.
He locked in, locking himself from the outside world except Tyla.
With passive help from her providing a conducive reading environnt for him, Leon devoured tons of knowledge, learning even more advanced theories of energy weapons, energy manipulation, and energy matrices.
Leon didn’t have his mories of being a student, but right now, he felt like a student again and it filled his body with a sense of dark déjà vu.
Leon spent approximately 2 days for each blueprint just trying to learn and understand the theories and concepts behind it.
He didn’t know it, but this was already incredibly abnormal for normal D Rank Ascended learning or even creating a regular D Rank Blueprint.
It was not abnormal for D Rank chanists to spend years or even decades learning to master a single blueprint, not to talk of a Class Exclusive Blueprint!
Leon was an outlier.
In between, he had to take a break of 2 days to rest and recover.
He spent 12 days in total and by the ti he was done, his head was almost bleeding ruby dust and smoke.
His brain was almost fried but it was not in vain.
His perseverance paid off and Leon finally assimilated the vast and complicated knowledge behind all Exclusive Blueprints of the different D Rank chanist Class Specializations.
After that, he made a call.
Ring! Ring!
{Outgoing call to General Ren Nora...}
