DING!

Leon blinked.

His heart skipped a beat as for a brief mont, he thought he just heard the familiar sound of the ChronoSystem lighting up with a new thread of system notifications. It sounded like music to his ears.

But alas, he was just hallucinating.

Once again, this highlighted how much he already missed the ChronoSystem and its ever-present help to clarify the result of his efforts.

By now, the ChronoSystem would have already updated him with a thread of notifications showing him the breakdown of all the work that he’d been doing for the past 3 weeks.

By now, he would have been seeing the detailed specs of all his newly constructed war machines to appreciate them in all their full glory.

22 days..., Leon spent 22 days locked in this basent working non-stop.

And well, it was worth it.

And even without the ChronoSystem to show the raw numbers, stats, and systems of the new war machines, as the creator who’d worked non-stop on these machines for the past 3 weeks, Leon knew the in and out of each of his new constructs like the back of his hand.

Afterall, that is what is required to be a true chanist.

Even without the help of the ChronoSystem, locked in, Leon was able to do a perfect job, proving that his competence was not tied entirely to the system.

The System was a helpmate, it didn’t make him.

Without the ChronoSystem, he was still Leon Ardent.

He was still the E Rank chanist who outsmarted a C Rank NetRunner.

He was still the D Rank chanist who survived a dreamscape battle against a Fluxmancer; he was still the D Rank chanist who survived a clash against a Neural Tyrant for 1 minute!

He was still HIM.

Leon started with the Bulwark MK.II Titan Fra, staring at the towering ch suit with dark fascination in his black eyes.

Perhaps, due to seeing everything broken down to him by the ChronoSystem the last ti, he didn’t take his ti to appreciate the intimidating aesthetics and looks of the ch suit.

But this ti, Leon took his ti to appreciate it.

Just like the old one that was destroyed by General Sylvari, the Bulwark MK stood at an imposing four and half ters tall.

But unlike the old one that was forged out of grayish white tal, this one was forged from obsidian black titanium-composite armor.

Standing still, it looked nacing like a Dark Knight.

Every surface of its fra radiated brutal functionality, as if it had been designed with a single purpose- to dominate every battlefield through overwhelming firepower and adaptability.

Its broad shoulders were crowned by a pair of massive artillery cannons, each barrel nearly as long as a motorcycle!

Only now when he looked at them from the perspective of a bystander or an enemy did Leon realize just how intimidating the artillery cannons were.

Imagining himself on the end of their fury, he shuddered.

Dense electromagnetic recoil dampeners surrounded the mount of the artillery cannons, allowing the ch to unleash devastating long-range bombardnts without compromising stability.

Thick power conduits ran from the cannons into the torso, glowing faintly with blue energy as ammunition feeds and targeting systems synchronized in real ti, as even while dormant it scanned its creator.

Leon shuddered again. ’I... I created this? Damn!’

On Leon’s command, beneath the armored shoulder housings, hidden seams suddenly beca visible as sections of armor slid apart with chanical precision, revealing the retractable modular missile pod arrays.

Inside, hundreds of missile tubes were packed within the shoulder compartnts and upper back assembly, arranged in layered launch racks.

They were not deployed yet but Leon could envision it easily with his vivid imagination.

He imagined that when deployed, if he wasn’t facing a C Rank Ascended, the pods would unfold like tallic wings, exposing enough ordnance to flatten entire city blocks in a single barrage!

With this alone, he would have been able to play a decisive role in the invasion of Leviathan Quay many months ago.

Warning lights flickered across the launch cells of the ch suit as targeting algorithms calculated firing solutions faster than any human mind could process.

The ch’s forearms were dominated by familiar twin Rail Cannons.

Thick magnetic acceleration rails ran along the length of each arm, ending in reinforced firing chambers that were capable of launching hypervelocity projectiles at absurd speeds!

Mounted just behind the artillery systems sat rotary machine guns on both shoulders. Their multi-barreled assemblies rotated silently while idle, but once activated they transford into blurs of spinning tal!

They were capable of spewing thousands of armor-piercing rounds per minute!

Defensive systems were integrated directly into the fra itself. Along the torso, waist, and hips, dozens of compact point-defense Gatling guns were embedded beneath armored panels.

Tiny sensor clusters constantly scanned the surrounding airspace even while the machine was dormant.

Feeling their scan on his body, Leon’s skin squird.

The upper back housed one of the ch’s most advanced features. What appeared to be simple armored plating concealed multiple micro-drone deploynt bays for Leon’s swarm of drones.

Despite its imnse arsenal, the machine’s silhouette remained surprisingly balanced- hydraulic actuators, synthetic muscle bundles, and high-output servomotors granted it smooth movent despite its weight.

Reactor vents along its back expelled streams of superheated air, bathing the surrounding area in shimring waves of heat.

Standing among the dozens of Doom Rover v0.1s and v0.2s, the ch suit looked like a War General standing in the midst of his soldiers.

This was not rely a ch suit, this was a walking siege platform.

A mobile fortress.

A one-man army engineered to bring chanized annihilation wherever it marched, and this was one of the machines that played a big role in Leon surviving a minute against a C Rank Ascended 5 months ago even while heavily injured.

But this wasn’t all.

Leon grinned darkly as he thought of the modifications that he made to the original blueprint of the Bulwark MK.II Titan Fra.

The first of them was his new Chained Kunai, a new blueprint that he created from inspiration from the video ga character that Ren Nora used in his ancient ga so ti ago, Scorpion.

Just like the video ga character, the chained kunai was hidden within the torso of the ch suit, wrapped almost endlessly on itself.

It was extrely long, giving the ch suit a different ans for ranged combat as with it, not only could Leon attack ranged targets with precision, he can also quickly reposition with the chained kunai or bring far targets close just like Scorpion in the video ga.

What was the character’s catchphrase again?

’Get over here?’ He grinned at the thought.

And of course, the next and most important of his modifications- Leon saw it as one of his best piece of innovative constructions as he was able to combine 2 Class Exclusive Blueprints together.

...the V-7 Kinetic-Ion Barrier!

The Technician Class Specialization Exclusive Blueprint was tagged a D Rank Blueprint, but Leon was obliged to tag it Quasi-C Rank.

With his workshop directly under Ren Nora’s mansion, he already tested the energy shield’s durability the mont he finished constructing the first one though it took him multiple days.

And through these test runs, he learned that the V-7 Kinetic-Ion Barrier can withstand sustained physical damage from a C Rank Ascended!

Not just that, the V-7 Kinetic-Ion Barrier can also partially defend against psionic attacks from a NetRunner!

If Leon had this on 4 months ago, he felt that it would have also partially defended him against the insidious powers of the Fluxmancer Assassin!

With this blueprint, he would have lasted at the very least 5 minutes against General Sylvari 5 months ago when they battled.

Integrating it into the Bulwark MK.II Titan Fra almost fried his brain due to all the paraters that he needed to take into consideration, but in the end, he managed to do it, elevating the ch suit to a whole different level entirely.

With this energy shield alone, Leon felt that the overall power level of the ch suit tripled at the very least!

At high ranks, a 100% power surge is already crazy not to talk of 200%.

This was undoubtedly his greatest modification to the ch suit.

’Activate’. Leon thought and imdiately, a shimring field of ghostly blue like the clean surface of a sea materialized to life, surrounding the ch suit.

Leon grinned. ’That’s what I’m f*cking talking about!’
