As soon as Ye Chen entered the cave, an oppressive aura locked on him. Clearly, the fierce beast that lived here wasn't happy with an intruder entering its habitat and gave a warning to leave imdiately.
Ye Chen wasn't surprised at this since the beast had left its aura outside the cave to scare anyone from approaching and entering inside. So, it made sense the fierce beast would be pissed off.
However, he paid no heed to this and continued forward with the emperor's void pearl following behind.
ROAR!
Sensing that the intruder hadn't left and even continued walking inside its habitat, the beast inside let out a deafening roar, which shook the walls and sent shockwaves rippling through the cave.
After which the ground started to shake periodically with loud booms, and soon a pair of golden eyes erged from the darkness, followed by its massive two-story tall body. The beast had the body of a lion, wings of the eagle, and a long, whip-like tail lined with sharp barbs.
It was none other than the famous griffin, which were difficult to kill because of their physical strength and flying ability.
"Human! You made a mistake by walking further!" Surprisingly, the beast spoke human language and looked at Ye Chen with hostility.
As for the emperor void pearl, it ran away as soon as it heard the beast approaching.
Ye Chen was speechless at the reaction of Pearl, but he didn't have ti to bother about it and glanced at the griffin with so surprise.
"It's rare for a third-stage Qi-condensation beast to speak; looks like you have a good treasure hidden behind you," he spoke as he gazed deep inside the cave with so thought.
"Humph! Still not aware of how grave the danger you are facing is? Looks like you will be the stupidest human I will ever kill," the griffin replied with contempt, and its wings spread wide.
The next mont, it lunged forward with a boom, its claws slashing through the air with enough force to turn anyone below Qi-condensation into small pieces.
Watching the incoming attack, Ye Chen's eyes flashed with seriousness; however, he displayed no fear and shot forward with a powerful punch.

The mont Ye Chen's punch t the griffin's claws head-on, it unleashed a deafening shockwave, sending cracks through the cave walls. The impact of this attack also affects both, sending them back to their original positions.
"How is this possible? Are you hiding your cultivation?" The griffin inquired with shock as he felt the tinge of numbness from its claws.
His body was several tis stronger than his cultivation; even tier-3 weapons would have so trouble leaving any marks, but now the sheer physical force of the Qi-gathering cultivator made its claw numb; there was no way unless Ye Chen's real cultivation was higher.
"There is nothing impossible in this world; it's just a beast like you had not seen the world yet," Ye Chen replied with disdain while shaking his arm a little, which stung with pain.
"Humph! If you are thinking only, you can hide your cultivation, then you are wrong!" The griffin got angered by his words, and suddenly his whole body shone with golden illuminance, its aura climbing up rapidly.

After three consecutive stage increases, the golden illuminance and its aura finally decreased; however, at this mont, the griffin let out a thundering roar.

Only after reaching this stage did the increase stop fully.
Witnessing this, Ye Chen's mouth couldn't help but twitch; he was confident he could beat this big guy as long as it was in the third stage of the Qi-condensation realm, but now he had to think about whether or not he would get beaten up by the griffin.
Nevertheless, he didn't show any fear, and an excited smile appeared on his face.
"Good, let's fight!" He shouted, and with a boom, he lunged forward, once again, punching at the griffin.

The griffin felt humiliated at how Ye Chen didn't care about his power-up and roared furiously before attacking with full force.

Once again, a deafening boom echoed, and the shockwaves erupted, expanding the cracks of the cave.
Outside the cave, the emperor void pearl waited near the entrance, hoping Ye Chen and the griffin would fight till death so it could get whatever it wanted.
But suddenly it trembled with fear and ran away.
Swoosh!
Suddenly a shadow shot out of the cave with incredible speed and crashed through the trees in its path before coming to a halt.
Who was it? Of course, Ye Chen.
He had overestimated his strength, and the result was that he flew off like a broken kite.
ROOOAAARR!
The griffin let out a victor's roar and chased outside to finish off Ye Chen.
It could feel Ye Chen's heartbeat, which was getting faster and faster, likely from fear, so it knew he was still alive.
However suddenly, the griffin's movents ca to a sudden stop, and its face twitched with disbelief.
'This bastard! He is not scared—but intoxicated! Don't tell he is a masochist!' The griffin questioned inwardly with a dumbfounded look.
Bang!
Ye Chen destroyed the tree on his body with a punch and stood up with a satisfied grin.
"It's been so long since I have felt this pain, tasted my blood, and challenged sothing beyond my capabilities... but it feels great as usual," he spoke with a smile as he wiped off blood from the corner of his mouth.
"Co on, you dumb beast, let's fight once again, but this ti seriously," he taunted as he felt blood rushing rapidly into his body with adrenaline.
"You are a lunatic!" The griffin shouted with a dissatisfied look; however, it didn't forget to attack with the intention of killing him.
Swoosh!
Two massive red wings appeared behind Ye Chen, and then he shot forward with lightning speed.
BOOM!
Their attacks collided, creating a terrifying shockwave that uprooted the trees nearby and turned small rocks into dust.
"You! How could you grow stronger?!" The griffin didn't step backward, but he was still shocked when he saw Ye Chen only backing away a hundred ters without any visible injuries.
"I said earlier, didn't I, that a beast like you has yet to see the outside world?" Ye Chen sneered in response, not giving an answer.
The reason was he didn't beco powerful at all; it was just that he used pills to rapidly heal his injuries and focused on the flaws of Griffin's attack.
"Humph! Don't think your small tricks can save you!" The griffin shouted furiously and waved its spiky tail.
Ye Chen didn't dare to confront this and dodged, the spiky tail narrowly missing his head. Then before he could counterattack, the griffin's wings glowed with golden energy, and countless feather-like projectiles shot towards him like a storm of blades.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Each feather carried imnse force, capable of piercing through steel.
Ye Chen flapped his wings and calmly avoided it while closing in on the griffin with the sa excited smile.

Seeing its attack as useless on him, the griffin roared angrily and lunged at Ye Chen in the air.
BOOM!
Once again, a terrifying shockwave erupted, destroying everything in the vicinity.
"You can't defeat , human!"
"The sa could be said for you."
"Humph, I am not unleashing my true strength yet."
"The sa could be said for ."
"You!!!"

Both the griffin and Ye Chen clashed a few hundred tis; however, no one tried to use their spiritual Qi to the limit because who knows if there were snakes hiding nearby or not.
Of course there was one, and it was none other than Emperor Void Pearl, which quietly made its way inside the cave.
But how could it do this without getting noticed? Both Ye Chen and Griffin discovered it instantly.
Ye Chen's expression remained the sa as ever, excited about the current fight; however, the griffin's face wasn't looking good, and it started to beco impatient.
"Human, you better back off now; if not, you will regret it!" The griffins stated coldly.
"Oh? Really? Then show what regret is?" Ye Chen responded with a smirk and threw a punch, his intention to fight with everything on the line intensifying.
RAAWWWR!
The griffin finally couldn't hold on anymore, and despite knowing it would be weak after using spiritual Qi to limit it, it still did this.
Ye Chen wasn't a pushover; he also did the sa, and his aura beca stronger along with his excitent.
BOOM!
Once again, their attacks collided, and this ti both of them were injured and flew backward because of the strong impact.
GRRAAHH!
The griffin let out a nacing roar and charged forward.
Ye Chen once again felt the adrenaline rushing into his body, especially since the strength of the griffin was too much for him to handle.
Nevertheless, he showed no signs of backing down and shot forward with a boom and a thrilled smile.
