Time passed quickly and soon it was just two days before Luo Wensheng’s wedding. The Luo family split into two groups, with the Luo’s elderly couple taking along Luo Xuyan and his wife, Luo Xuyuan, as well as Luo Qiao and Luo Jiayue, who were already on vacation, to head over first.
They took the night train, which Lu Yichen had helped to arrange sleeping berths for.

Luo Daoren added, “Exactly, the rest are ing over by tonight’s train and will arrive around this time tomorrow.”
Wensheng’s eyes lit up upon hearing this, “Really? It must be tiring for everyone.”

Wensheng, a grown man, suddenly found his eyes filling with tears, “Having you all here puts my mind at ease.”
Each member of the Luo family was carrying something. As they entered and saw the Zeng family members inside, Luo Daoren, smiling, said, “Being close has its advantages; they got here faster than us.”
Luo Xuyuan chimed in, “ing so early, are they here to deliver something, or to help clean up?”
Luo Qiao chuckled, “Uncle’s courtyard is small, I’m guessing he has already cleaned up. I think they’re here to give a cash gift. To e over even after breaking ties, the Zeng family isn’t entirely heartless.”
The Zeng family members felt awkward—neither able to leave nor stay. Those who had e were siblings and nephews of their grandfather, born from the same mother.
After hearing the remarks of the Luo family siblings, their faces burned with embarrassment. They weren’t here to give gifts or cash; they had e to ask for a favor. Yet before they could speak up, the Luo family had already arrived.
Now, they truly didn’t know how to start this conversation. Though there were not many members of the Luo family present, Wensheng’s cousin alone could fend off all of them—they had witnessed her capability before.
Zeng Baoliang, a brother of Luo Daoming who shared the same mother, stood up a bit awkwardly, avoiding eye contact with the Luo family members, “We just came to look around, just to look around.”
Luo Qiao, noticing their uneasy expressions, realized they probably had another motive for ing. In the past, their grandfather had willingly stayed at the Zeng family to help his own brother and sister, but this brother could not protect his own elder brother’s children after their grandfather passed away.

Zhou Guifang smiled and glanced around the room, “We’re all family here, no need for formalities. We came a day early to see if there was anything we could help with.”
After knowing that Luo Wensheng had hired a chef to prepare meals at home, Luo Qiao immediately said, “You haven’t finalized the ingredients yet, right?”

Stunned, Luo Wensheng asked, “You know someone who sells vegetables here?”
Luo Qiao nodded affirmatively, “Uncle, my grandparents mean to take care of this for you. I assume you’ve already arranged the beverages, so we won’t interfere with that. They’ll handle the ingredients.”
After understanding her, Luo Wensheng protested, “That’s not right, how can we accept this? Don’t worry, I have enough money, really.”
Luo Daoren glanced at his granddaughter. They hadn’t discussed this beforehand, but since she had already offered, he knew what she intended, “Wensheng, let it be. This is from me and your aunt.”
