“Hello, who is this?”

Zhang Haiming paused, sensing the voice sounded familiar, but he just couldn’t remember who it was: “Who are you, exactly? If you don’t say, I’m hanging up.”
Luo Qiao chuckled: “Brother-in-law, it’s me.”
Hearing the voice, Zhang Haiming tentatively called out, “Qiaoqiao?”
Only a few would call him brother-in-law. Ling Rui never joked with him like that, and he could recognize Ling Yu’s voice, so that just left his cousin Qiaoqiao.
“Qiaoqiao, you really… wait till I get back, I’ll be telling your cousin about this.”

In the Textile Factory Family Courtyard, Hao Xiuyue was tidying up her third son’s bedroom. Tomorrow morning, his daughter-in-law and their twin grandson and granddaughter were ing back home. Having just finished, she heard someone knocking at the door. When she looked out, she saw her third son’s two elder brothers.
Hao Xiuyue hurriedly invited them in to sit. Luo Xudong said, “Aunt, we have brought some things over for my sister. Could you check where to put them later?”
Following their gaze toward the door, Hao Xiuyue was shocked to see a tricycle fully loaded with items. By now, many people from the family courtyard had gathered around.
“Xiuyue, these two youngsters look familiar. Which family are they from?”
“These are my Zhiyuan’s elder uncles. Now that they’ve separated households, they came to bring some things for Jialin.”

The entrance to Luo Jialin’s living quarters had a small open space, perfect for setting up a temporary cooking spot.
After arranging the items, Luo Xunan suggested, “Brother, why don’t we build a shed here? We wouldn’t be able to cook if it rains.”
Luo Xudong looked at the spot: “Sure, the area isn’t big. It won’t take much material.”
