Overseas, Vera sat on her pristine white bed, eyes fixed on a massive wall-mounted screen. The screen displayed the movent trajectories of two separate groups.
“Old Man Tian, your ti’s almost up.” A cruel smile tugged at Vera’s lips as two red dots appeared near the Ability Managent Departnt’s marked location. This was the man who had stolen her clones and repeatedly foiled her assassination attempts. Vera wanted him to die a thousand tis over.
“I’ll have your head in under ten minutes.” Watching the two red dots shift violently, Vera knew the battle had already begun. Her smile faded as she turned her gaze to another section of the screen—where thirteen red dots moved in pursuit.
“Things are going smoothly on that side too.”
On-screen, the thirteen red dots darted rapidly, clearly in pursuit of a target. Nodding in satisfaction, Vera returned her focus to the area marked as the Ability Managent Departnt.
In her eyes, thirteen AA-ranked Transcendents were more than enough to take down Princess, even if she was a Pinnacle Master. It was only a matter of ti before Princess t her inevitable end.
Inside the luxurious apartnt in Cathay, owned by the Ability Managent Departnt, a thunderous crash echoed through the halls.
“Ugh—!” Ronald crashed into a wall, blood spraying from his mouth as his face contorted in pain. But it didn’t end there—a fierce wind-infused force followed, smashing him through the wall and hurling him into a guest room.
They had exchanged fewer than a hundred blows, yet Ronald was already at a significant disadvantage. Each ti Ronald exposed even the slightest opening, [Tragic Wind] Pete would seize the mont to strike—his wind-charged blows slamming Ronald with brutal force.
Suddenly, the air snapped with electric crackles as blue lightning arced into the room. A flash of blue light surged through the shattered wall, racing straight toward Ronald.
Just as Ronald regained his footing, a wave of nausea hit him hard. Before he could catch his breath, the towering figure in a black leather jacket charged in—his body crackling with electricity. Blue lightning shaped itself into dual blades in his hands.
In a thunderous blur, he appeared right in front of Ronald, swinging both electrified blades down with deadly intent.
“I’ll be taking your head.”
Ronald didn’t hesitate. He dropped and rolled, barely dodging the lightning blades at the last possible second. But the danger was far from over. Pete followed in a vortex of swirling wind, entering the room like a storm deity descending from the skies. Twin tornadoes spun violently in his open palms.
“It’s useless. No matter how hard you struggle, you’ll die by our hands.” With that, Pete flicked his wrists, unleashing the twin tornadoes. They expanded rapidly in midair, spiraling toward Ronald like twin harbingers of death.
As the swirling storm rapidly expanded before his eyes, a cold shiver ran down Ronald’s spine.
Dodging such a fast and deadly attack was nearly impossible in his condition—wounded and confined in a small room with barely any space to move. To make matters worse, David had already swapped his lightning blades for two crackling orbs of light—and was preparing to hurl them straight at him.
At that mont, Ronald found himself trapped—caught between two unstoppable forces.
‘They’re both Transcendents—fast, powerful, nearly unbeatable when working together! Am I supposed to just sit here and wait to die? No. There has to be a way out of this!' With that thought, Ronald’s mind sharpened to a razor’s edge. Neurons fired at full capacity as he hastily devised a plan—one that sounded absurd even to himself.
“Here goes nothing!” he muttered. This idea had co to him days ago—he was just forced to execute it earlier than planned.
“Haah!” With a sharp cry, Ronald’s aura burst forth, blasting loose debris across the floor.
As Pete and David looked on, montarily stunned, Ronald leapt upward—suspended in midair—effortlessly dodging both the tornadoes and the lightning orbs.
An instant later, the tornadoes and lightning orbs collided—
Boom!
A violent explosion rocked the room, hurling debris and dust in every direction, leaving chaos in its wake.
‘I did it…!' Though the blast had injured him further, his focus remained on what had just occurred—he had levitated, even if only briefly. It was the very sa technique Yaeger had used during her strategic escape at the Rosen Hotel.
That move had burned itself into Ronald’s mory the mont he witnessed it. After days of analysis—and a few insights gained from the ga—he’d begun to grasp the core concept.
That foundation was what allowed him to pull it off now, in this mont of crisis. In that fleeting instant, Ronald was certain—those fragnts of debris had hung motionless in the air. Otherwise, with his current strength, such an aerial maneuver would’ve been impossible.
‘Even if it lasted only a mont… I actually pulled off levitation. That’s sothing only the legendary Martial Saint was ever said to achieve!' Ronald’s heart surged with exhilaration and disbelief.
He could feel it— The path of the martial artist, once sealed off to him for decades, was open once more.
Across the room, Pete and David looked as though they had seen a ghost—eyes wide, pupils contracted, their faces frozen in disbelief. To them, Ronald’s sudden maneuver had mimicked the abilities of an S-ranked Spatial Transcendent.
A Grandmaster wielding spatial powers? That was beyond broken—utterly terrifying!
In reality, Ronald had rely copied Yaeger’s technique, using airborne debris to mask his evasive movent. But because his movent had been so fast and precise, it appeared as if he’d teleported.
Regardless, Ronald clearly caught the astonished looks on their faces. And as a seasoned Grandmaster, he had no intention of wasting such a golden opportunity. Pushing off with the tips of his toes, he dashed straight toward Pete—the closer of the two.
At last, Pete reacted—but far too late. For the first ti, raw panic twisted his expression. He knew full well—he stood no chance against a Grandmaster who could manipulate space. This wasn’t a man. This was a monster!
Fear surged uncontrollably from deep within, paralyzing him. All he could do was watch as Ronald’s fist ca flying toward him.
‘I’m going to die!’
As Ronald charged Pete, David silently exhaled, a wave of relief washing over him—followed by an imdiate urge to flee. But just as Pete sank into despair and David prepared to retreat…
Sothing completely unexpected occurred.
"Pfft!" Ronald, once exuding lethal power, suddenly coughed up a thick mouthful of black blood. A grimace of pain twisted across his face, and his body slumped, strength leaving him all at once.
The punch—ant to be fatal—barely touched Pete, landing with no force behind it. For a split second, the two S-ranked Transcendents stood in stunned silence—then rembered Ronald’s deteriorating condition. Cruel smiles spread across their faces.
“Die, Ronald Tian!” They shouted in unison, unleashing their abilities without hesitation. There was no way they’d miss a chance like this to strike him down.
Overseas, Vera shifted her gaze away from the two red dots and turned her attention to the cluster of thirteen…
No—those thirteen red dots had vanished!
“What the hell is going on?” she blurted out, unable to hide her confusion.
anwhile, in Cathay—within the [City of Chaos]…
Vera 1, 2, and 3—along with ten Transcendents from various countries—looked around in stunned disbelief. They now stood within a vast, pitch-black arena.
Just monts ago, they had been chasing Princess through the streets. But as they pursued her, a mysterious force had abruptly whisked them away. By the ti they regained their senses, they had already arrived in this eerie arena.
How could they not be both shocked and alard?
“Welco… to my City of Chaos.” A sultry, srizing voice echoed across the pitch-black space. At that mont, their target appeared before them without warning. Princess—radiant, confident, and impossibly dazzling—stood before them, as if she had never fled at all.
