Aoma Village Church stood as the largest and most opulent building in the region. Yet now, it felt less like a sanctuary and more like the very gates of hell, shrouded in dread and danger.

Cries of agony echoed from inside, deepening the sense of horror that surrounded the place. These were not just cries of pain—they were screams of utter despair, coming from the most severely ill patients.

Their faces twisted in tornt, limbs trembling, bodies covered in black Star Spots. The sight alone terrified the mildly infected nearby. Everyone longed to escape, but the doors and windows were sealed shut and guarded by church knights. There was no way out.

Even if escape were possible, none dared return ho. The thought of infecting their loved ones only drove them deeper into despair.

Upstairs, where the clergy resided, Micha coughed violently, his once-white handkerchief now stained with flecks of blackened blood.

“I feel awful…” he muttered, tossing the soiled cloth aside as he stared at his hand, mottled with black Star Spots. Even more spots covered the skin beneath his robes. Though badly infected, Micha’s strong constitution had helped him hold on—barely.

“My sixtieth birthday is just days away…” he murmured, gazing at the mirror that reflected a frail, weathered version of himself. His face was covered in dark, diseased marks, nearly every inch overtaken by the Star Spots.

He had once been the priest who treated that black-robed apostle.

Serving in a small, rural church ant limited manpower. Including Micha, only twenty clergyn served the entire village. Now, every last one of them had been infected. Those with the worst symptoms were indistinguishable from the villagers sprawled across the church floor, consud by agony and despair.

Suddenly, Micha’s eyes widened in alarm. In the mirror’s reflection, he saw soone behind him. A masked figure cloaked in black stood silently behind him.

“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure you live to see your sixtieth birthday.” Before he could cry out, a gentle, lodic voice broke the silence.

“Priest Micha, it’s !” Angelica stepped out from behind the cloaked figure.

“Angelica? Why are you—wait… the spots on your face—they’re gone?!” He had ant to ask how they got inside, but the words vanished when he saw her unblemished skin.

He knew better than anyone that these cursed Star Spots only spread with ti. They never disappeared. But Angelica’s were completely gone. Did that an…?

The realization struck him so hard, he nearly fainted from shock.

“It’s Prin—no, Miss Flower cured . Priest Micha, the disease can be cured!” Angelica said, her voice filled with hope.

Micha was elated—at first. But then doubt crept in. ‘She hides her face… Could she really be here out of goodwill? Is this so kind of sche?’

He narrowed his eyes, unease rising in his chest. In that instant, a green needle struck his neck before he could react.

“You—!” He never imagined Angelica would bring soone here to kill him.

‘Angelica… has a demon taken control of you?’ He felt only heartbreak. He’d known her since childhood and loved her like a granddaughter. Even when the whole village turned on her, he defended her. And now she repaid him—with poison?

‘Wait… what is this energy? Why does my body suddenly feel strong again?’

Dark energy began to pour out from his body like mist. Turning back to the mirror, his voice trembled. “My God… it’s a miracle!”

The Star Spots were vanishing—fading faster than he could believe. If this wasn’t a miracle, then what was?

“My heavens, an angel! You must be the divine envoy sent by the noble Goddess of Light to deliver us from suffering! Ah, you’re the light that cuts through eternal night, the thunderbolt that shaped the world, the—”

“Be quiet. You’re way too loud,” Yaeger snapped, clearly irritated as she watched Micha drop to one knee and break into theatrical praise.

‘I don’t have ti for this nonsense.’

“Forgive , I got carried away,” Micha said, startled. He stood up slowly, visibly embarrassed. He had always assud that lofty individuals appreciated grand praise. Apparently, he was mistaken.

“I already understand the general situation in Aoma Village. I can’t reveal my identity for various reasons, so I’ll need your help to deal with this plague,” Yaeger said directly.

Rather than treating everyone herself while disguised, she figured it was more efficient to enlist soone respected by the locals. It would save her a great deal of hassle.

“How can I serve you, Lord Angel?” Micha asked, bowing respectfully.

“First, bring a few buckets of water,” Yaeger instructed.

“Right away.” Micha nodded firmly and left the room without hesitation.

After witnessing a miracle firsthand, he trusted her without question.

“That’s the benefit of true believers,” Yaeger muttered to herself after he left the room. Since most villagers worshipped the Goddess of Light, performing healings in Her na made things much simpler.

With the priest’s cooperation, everything would go much more smoothly.

“Princess, why do you need so much water?” Angelica asked, puzzled.

"A knight could probably dissolve in this stuff… I an, there are just too many people. Infusing the purification energy into water is more efficient."

She had no desire to perform acupuncture one by one. It was far too tedious. Besides, the [Starfall Disease] could be completely neutralized by life energy alone, so there was no need to overexert herself.

Not long after, Micha returned with several clergyn, each carrying a large bucket of water. “Lord Angel, the water is ready,” Micha said, bowing again as they set the buckets down.

“Good. Now leave—I need space to perform the divine rite,” Yaeger said, waving them off without much expression.

The three clergyn quickly exited.

Angelica began to follow but was stopped by Yaeger’s voice. “Where do you think you’re going?”

“Aren’t you about to do sothing divine?” Angelica whispered.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Yaeger said, rolling her eyes.

‘No way… With healing skills like that, how could it not be divine?’ Angelica thought to herself.

“Alright, lock the door. I’m starting now.” Yaeger stepped toward the buckets and extended both hands.

Angelica quickly secured the door, then turned back and watched Yaeger with eager anticipation.
