Mrs. Qi raised her hand to stop Wang Guilan from continuing to pretend in front of others. She said, "Do I need to spell out the things you did back then?"
"What... what have I done?" Wang Guilan panicked, a bad premonition rising in her heart. If the argunt continued, she feared she wouldn’t co out of it well. So, she made a signal with her eyes to her two sons, and the next mont, ng Xingwang and ng Xingping charged straight into Kang Li’s yard.
As for Kang Li, Wang Guilan had feigned a move elsewhere only to push her towards Mrs. Qi with great force.
"Comrade Qi!" Shouts of alarm erupted from all around.
Seeing Mrs. Qi about to fall to the ground, Kang Li couldn’t care about the ng brothers rushing into her yard. With quick reflexes, she hurriedly steadied Mrs. Qi.
"Go inside and check! Quick!"
Mrs. Qi shook her head at Kang Li, signaling she was alright. Upon seeing Wang Guilan also sneaking into Kang Li’s yard, she hastily pushed Kang Li a little, "Never mind Godmom. You need to go check inside now!"
Kang Li nodded, clenched the stick in her hand, and turned to walk through the yard gate.
The next mont, a scream like that of a pig being slaughtered echoed from the yard.
