Kang Li walked over with a smile playing on her lips.
"Mommy, Mommy, it’s Grandpa’s call!"
Handing the phone to her mother, Ming Han stepped aside to make room and sat down with her brother and sister at the small table. She took out her pencil case and notebook, ready to do the howork assigned by the teacher.
"Dad, it’s ...Really? That’s great, I got it...Since Yangyang and the others want to co to North City, why don’t you bring them along, I’ll pay for the tickets as their aunt...Okay, I’ll pick you up from the train station, we’ll settle on that, and I promise I’ll be there on ti! Okay, bye!"
After ending the call, Kang Li put the handset back on the base and seeing all three kids looking at her, she couldn\’t help but laugh and say, "Your Grandma and Grandpa will be coming from our hotown to North City in a few days, and it looks like your older and second older cousins will co along too. Isn’t that exciting?"
The three chorused in unison, "Exciting!"
"Alright, do your howork now, Mommy’s going to cook dinner." The living room was a bit dark, so Kang Li casually pulled the lamp cord, and imdiately, the room brightened significantly.
Entering the kitchen, Kang Li quickly set about her tasks. She started a pot of porridge on the stove and soaked so vermicelli, planning to make two dishes for dinner, eggplant with potatoes and sauerkraut stir-fried with shredded pork.
Her hands were busy, but her mind wasn’t idle.
She didn’t expect Luo Yanqing to do sothing big behind her back again, yet she was undeniably delighted. But she couldn’t fathom why the man always did good deeds without telling her, without even giving her a clue.

Gentleness swirled in her beautiful eyes as Kang Li murmured to herself, "I’m touched, but I also feel for you, don’t I?" His heart had room for her, yet when it ca to expressing emotions, he always did so in such a silent manner. What was she to say?
To be honest, Kang Li truly hadn’t anticipated that Luo Yanqing would call Aoli Village and invite her mother to North City to keep her company, all because he was worried about her health. He made the call to her parents with great sincerity, asking them to stay in North City for a while.
Her thoughts andering, Kang Li felt her heart brimming with sweetness.

Ming Han: "Mommy, I’m so full!"
Ming Wei: "Mommy, I’m so full too!"
Min Rui glared at the twins, "Who told you to eat so much?"
Ming Han: "Mommy’s cooking is delicious!"
Ming Wei: "Vivi loves the mushroom chicken porridge the most!"
As Kang Li cleaned up the dishes, Min Rui helped out, to which she said with a smile, "Let Mommy do it, you take your brother and sister for a walk in the yard to help digest."
It wouldn’t take her long to clean up just a few sets of dishes.
Min Rui nodded, "Okay." He shifted his gaze to his siblings, "Let’s go walk it off."
The twins obediently got up from their booster seats and followed their brother out of the living room.
"Brother, the teacher praised today and even gave two little red flowers. I’m going to give them to Mommy later!"
Ming Han, leading the way with Ming Wei following behind, heard her second older brother’s intention to give Mommy the little red flowers, and imdiately chid in, "I’ll give my flowers to Mommy too!"
"Luo Mingwei! No copying !"
Halting in his steps, Ming Han turned around, hands on hips, eyes wide as he looked at his sister, "All you do is copy , you know that’s very rude, right?"
Ming Wei, not to be outdone, glared back with her large, round black eyes, "I’m not copying you! I thought of giving Mommy the flowers a long, long ti ago!"
Ming Han asked, "Then why didn’t you give them earlier?"
Ming Wei huffed, speaking with a childlike tone, "Can’t I just forget?"
Ming Han pursed his lips, "Looks like you don’t really like Mommy that much, otherwise how could you forget to give her the flowers!"
