Kang Yikai picked up another handful of hackberries to closely examine.

Kang Yikai shook his head like a rattle-drum: "It’s exactly like it! Dad, these hackberries really do look like golden hook pears, Auntie is absolutely right!" How could he dare to disagree? He wouldn’t dare, not even with a hundred tis the courage!
The aunt was their Old Kang’s ho’s precious treasure. Whatever the aunt said was absolutely right. No one in the family dared to object; if they did, they could expect to be at the receiving end!
"These hackberries do really resemble chicken feet, bro. Have you seen them before?"
Kang Yihao suddenly asked Kang Yikai.
"No."

"Kai, if you’ve never seen hackberries before, then why did you cheer so happily and agree with your third brother when he spotted the hackberry tree and told our aunt and uncle about it?"
Kang Yichen looked at Kang Yikai, his eyes full of teasing.
Scratching the back of his head, Kang Yikai chuckled: "My third brother said it was a hackberry tree, which ans he must have seen them before. Since my third brother wasn’t wrong, of course, I had to cheer, backing my third brother up in front of my aunt and uncle, to prove that he was right."
"Wow, you really have a silver tongue. I, your second brother, am impressed!"
While Kang Yichen said this, his eyes looking at Kang Yikai clearly spelt out "sophistry." In his view, Kang Yikai most likely just casually agreed at the ti.
"Mommy, the mulberries are delicious."
Milk Bun Ming Han held a small bowl of mulberries, eating with a spoon both happily and contentedly. At that mont, he offered a spoonful to his mother’s lips: "Mommy, you eat too."

Kang Li opened her mouth, her brow and eyes brimming with a smile. After she ate the mulberry fed by Milk Bun, she said with a chuckle, "Eat slowly, be careful not to get the juice on your clothes."

Milk Bun Ming Han nodded his tiny head, clearly rembering what his mother had said about how difficult it was to clean the juice of mulberries if it got on clothes or hands.
"Mommy, the white mulberries are so sweet!"
Xiao Ming Wei followed her brother’s example, feeding her mother a plump white mulberry.

Kang Li ate the mulberry fed by her daughter and nodded with a smile in her eyes.
"Dad said that you and Li Bao are taking the kids back to North City in two days?"
Kang Guosheng was chatting casually with Luo Yanqing. Hearing his question, Luo Yanqing nodded lightly.
