Raika didn’t find Rio’s words offensive at all; it seed as if he had infinite patience, and a smile hung on his pretty face at all tis.
He got up and walked towards the ruins and stood a few ters away from Rio.
Now the two were facing in opposite directions; Rio was looking at the sword of promised destinies while Raika was looking at the ruined temple as he asked with a teasing tone,
"Look at this ruin, look at the state of the beings in this place... look at the corruption and destruction spreading everywhere..."
"It’s all caused by arrogance and selfishness, but soone like you who can control miasma can correct them..."
"You have the power to do this, don’t you, Rio? Why not save them if you have the power to do so? Are you sure you will let them stay like that?"
Rio didn’t change his expression at those questions as he replied in his usual emotionless tone,
"I am not a ’hero,’ and I am not obliged to save anybody; It’s none of my business..."
"I do consider their suffering regretful but I am not obliged to destroy my own ’path’ for others’ sake..."
"You yourself are quite strong; why not save them yourself instead of lecturing about it?"
Raika giggled a bit at Rio’s words.
"You are saying it as if I haven’t tried it... you are naïve... I have tried everything; I couldn’t do it because I am not able to control ’miasma’ after all..."
"You can control it and only can do it; you are the most qualified to walk the ’path’ of a ’hero’ in the entire ’universe,’ you know..."
"Am I wrong, Rio Flash?"
Rio’s eyes narrowed at that question, and he turned his face towards Raika as the other party also did the sa.
"How do you know my na? I never told you my full na..."
Rio felt extrely strange interacting with this stranger; the other party seed as if he knew a lot about Rio.
He seed like he was very knowledgeable about Rio’s past and everything, and his tone seed quite confident when he said that Rio could be a ’hero’ of the world.
It was almost as if Raika was aware of Rio’s imnse potential.
"I am aware of many things in the universe... trust , I know more about this universe than anyone can possibly know... except the ’creator’ of this universe itself, I guess..."
Raika replied to Rio’s question with a very vague answer, but Rio felt extrely confused about the identity of this stranger.
’First it was Alverto, and now this guy... what’s going on! The entire novel’s plotline has gone off the track...’
Alverto was also a character Rio never saw in the original novel, and the sa was true about this stranger who’s calling himself Raika.
Rio had never heard the na Raika before, but the other party seed to know a lot about Rio for so reason.
If it was an S-ranker, Rio would have already killed the other party by now; if it was an SS-ranker, Rio would have escaped by now.
But the biggest problem was that Rio didn’t know how powerful this unknown stranger was and what he actually was.
"Well, we will have many chances to interact as long as you are in the spirit realm!"
"I will ask you the sa question again; I hope your answer can change by then..."
With that said, Raika disappeared from Rio’s sight.
It was as if he had never existed in the first place and he was never there to begin with; he disappeared completely in an instant!

For the first ti in a while, Rio felt shocked to the core.
’What did he do!? That wasn’t light elental manipulation or teleportation either! What kind of skill was that!?’
When Rio uses light elentals to hide his presence, it’s obvious so mana fluctuations happen when he activates that ability and starts controlling the light elentals in the area.
Even when you are teleporting, you need to manipulate the space-ti fabric, use the space and ti elentals to your will, and precalculate the ti and location where you want to teleport.
Obviously, it’s a skill whose mana fluctuations Rio’s sword intent would easily notice.
Even when Ashtel, a peak SS-ranker, used short-range and long-range teleportation’s, even he was creating powerful mana fluctuations!
Unless Raika is stronger than Ashtel and is extrely skilled in stealth at the sa ti, there’s no way he can hide his mana fluctuations from Rio’s powerful sword intent’s detection in a place filled to the brim with miasma!
If he had done such a thing, Rio’s would have easily noticed the changes in the flow of miasma, but nothing of that sort ever happened.
’It was as if he suddenly ceased to exist! What the actual f*ck!? How is that even possible!?’
’Did he erase himself from existence!? No, that can’t be; won’t he just die if he does sothing like that...’
The situation was so weird and incomprehensible that Rio scanned his entire body with sword intent several tis just to confirm whether he was under so kind of illusion or was having hallucinations.
’But if it was an illusion... true immunity would have been triggered by now... it didn’t, which ans he was real, but then how did he disappear like that?’
Rio has always been the one to shock others with his stealth ability of appearing and disappearing out of nowhere, but today, for the first ti, he got shocked by soone the sa way.

Thinking about this, Rio could only shake his head in helplessness and sigh.
’I need to be more cautious from now on while travelling in the spirit realm...’
Rio and Raika deal broke apart as Rio didn’t agree to any of his conditions, and thus the other party obviously didn’t tell Rio about the location of the shadow dragons.
But the good thing was that once Raika disappeared, the cube changed its direction and started pointing in a new direction!

Rio vented his tension and pressure on the cube to relax his tensed nerves from the confrontation with Raika.
The two of them didn’t fight physically, but they were already at each other’s throats in the ntal realm.
They question each other’s ambitions and goals, and Raika even asked Rio to change his ’path,’ which is basically one of the most disrespectful things to say to a high-rank awakener who’s focused on his ’path’.
A person’s ’path’ is not just their ambition, their goal, and their dream; it’s their entire life! It’s their future!
Telling soone to change it is almost as bad as saying, ’Your dreams are trash! You should abandon them!’ to soone’s face!
"You will co to question again heh?... you are quite arrogant to think that everything will go your way..."
Rio shook his head and looked at the sky.
The miasmic clouds in the sky had beco denser at so point, and it started raining soon.
This wasn’t an ordinary rain; it was literal miasmic corruption raining from the sky in condensed liquid form!
Even SS-rankers would have found it difficult to resist this kind of situation; thankfully, Rio was completely unaffected by miasma.
He followed the direction given by the cube and started walking towards his next destination without a shred of hesitation in his eyes.
While walking under the heavy rain of miasma and corruption, Rio stepped forward and protected himself with a shield of miasma around him.
Several thoughts swirled in his mind as he moved forward.
’He did say that ’as long as I am inside the spirit realm, he will co looking for ’... does that an he’s an SS-ranker confined to the spirit realm?’
’A powerful shadow dragon SS-ranker who’s unable to leave the Spirit realm because they are all confined to this place?’
Rio knew that shadow dragons were the ones that were banished to this place, and if the other party wasn’t a demon, there was a high chance that Raika was likely a powerful and old shadow dragon.
Moreover, he even acknowledged that he knew the location of the shadow dragons in the spirit realm, which makes him even more suspicious.
’Don’t tell ... is he trying to influence to unseal him or sothing?’
’Well, if they were banished by a seal, that seal might have been corroded by miasma after staying here for so long... and he knows that I can manipulate miasma so perhaps he wants to break the seal and free all of the shadow dragons from the spirit realm?’
Rio wasn’t sure about anything, but he was very good at guessing and making plans ahead of ti, so he was ntally preparing himself right now.
’If that is the case... My mission to help Liam might beco more difficult than I expected... i might even have to fight an entire army of shadow dragons trying to force to use my powers...’
Raika’s smirking face appeared in Rio’s mind as he thought to himself,
’It won’t go your way... I won’t let you ss up my plans like that...
