When Rio’s consciousness returned to normal, he found himself standing in a strange realm where space and time were running so slow that it seemed like they were almost stagnant and stuck in one place.
There were no such things as planets, stars, or any other celestial bodies here, and as far as the eye could see, there was a strange shiny material scattered across the entire realm.
’It’s as if someone has poured endless glitter on a planet and even turned the sky into the same colour...’
The place seemed so bizarre that even Rio could not make sense of it.
Time, space, and nearly all the rules of the world were in a weirdly stagnant but chaotic state inside of this strange realm filled with endless shiny glitter.
In front of Rio was a giant altar that stood out like a glowing light bulb in a dark room, as Rio could feel the flow of the ’strings of destiny and fate’ in a perfectly normal state inside of that altar.
Atop the giant altar, Fade Crest’s unconscious body floated in the air as hundreds of thousands of broken ’Strings of Destiny’ floated around his entire body.
’It seems Raika plundered his luck quite a lot this time...’
Rio wasn’t even surprised that Fade was still alive even after all that had happened.
Children of Heavens were more tenacious than a cockroach; the ’Law’ of ’Death’ itself gets suppressed by their overwhelming ’luck’ and heavenly support, causing them to bee nearly ’Immune’ to ’Death.’
The main reason why Rio never tried to directly or indirectly kill Fade from the very beginning was also because he knew that it was pointless to even try something like that.
No matter how horrible Fade’s personality was, he was a genuine ’Chosen of Heavenly Luck’, and his ’Luck’ stat was insanely strong!
Fade’s luck doesn’t just e from one planet; as a heaven’s chosen, his status is almost equal to King Allen von Reinhart’s!
King Allen was someone who was favoured by almost all the laws of the entire universe, and Fade was qualified to achieve something similar in the future if he had developed normally.
Rio even had a hunch that as a chosen one grows stronger, explores more places in the universe and finds more cheat abilities,
Their luck actually grows even stronger each time as the ’Strings of Destinies’ of other planets and civilizations get connected to them as they explore those places.
This was likely the reason why King Allen seemed to just keep getting stronger endlessly as he united the planet and then conquered various places across the galaxy before heading to the sea of miasma.
’Maybe on his way to the sea of miasma he might have saved many more civilizations and planets, increasing his own luck and binding more strings of destiny to himself to increase his ’anchors’ to this world...’
If Fade were the same type of existence, his luck would have only grown stronger with time as he got more cheats and explored more places, but the presence of an ’Anomaly’ like Rio threw this smooth progress of Fade off-course!
By stealing Fade’s chances and stripping him off opportunities to connect with others and get stronger, Rio indirectly shattered Fade’s predetermined path to success and stopped his luck from growing.
Then Alverto and Raika both sucked a massive amount of luck out of Fade’s body, causing his luck to degrade instead of growing.
’Fade must be the most unfortunate and useless ’Son of Luck’ to have ever existed in this cosmos...’
Thinking about this matter, Rio shook his head in pity.
Although Fade’s current situation was mostly because of him, Rio felt no such things as sympathy or guilt at all; even if he were given the chance to do it all over again, Rio would still resort to stealing Fade’s cheats!
He was the type to never leave his life in the hands of others; instead of letting Fade get stronger to confront the final boss, Rio was more inclined to make himself stronger and fight the final boss with his own hands!
This way the final decisions will rest in his own grasp, and others will not be able to decide his life and death at all!
It was a selfish and greedy decision, but Rio was not the slightest bit ashamed of it; in fact, he believed he was on the right ’Path’!
In his opinion, everyone should fight for their own dreams themselves! It was foolish to pin your hopes on others when you yourself are perfectly capable of making those dreams e true with your own hands!

By now, Rio was strong enough to understand the inner workings of Fade’s so-called ’System’ roughly.
Although he still couldn’t understand its full mechanisms and how it worked, making it impossible for him to replicate or copy something like that, Rio could tell that Fade’s system was definitely not an independent existence.
Even if this universe has mana, miasma, and many kinds of supernatural power, the ’Laws’ of the ’Universe’ have a clear ’Limit’ to their powers no matter how strong they are.
Even the ’Law’ of ’Luck’ and the mighty ’Will of Heavens’ can’t endlessly keep changing and influencing the other ’laws’ of the ’Universe’ easily without expending an equal amount of power.
So in order to keep the natural world order stable, the heavenly luck has to bless its chosen ones in such a way that it would not disturb the universe’s normal functions.
The so-called ’System’ was just a tool crafted by ’Heavenly Luck’ to plunder the ’fate’ and ’strings of destinies’ of others and use it to enhance its chosen one instead!
The heavenly will cannot just kill hundreds of thousands of beings in the universe and plunder their destiny to directly enhance its chosen ones.
But the ’System’ is a clever tool that can be used to slowly and more efficiently carry out the mass plunder of destiny in a much safer and more stable way!
