What if he could wait for her?
With this thought, he stood at that corner for an entire afternoon.
Finally, he saw the carriage from the Guo Mansion, the very one that had picked him up before. He recognized the coachman.
When the carriage passed by, he stopped it. He didn’t know who was inside; he just wanted to try his luck, "Didn’t expect to run into you here, such a coincidence. Where are you headed?"
The coachman recognized Li Fugui too, and replied, "Ah, it’s Chef Jiang! I’m heading to the clinic to fetch a doctor."
"Fetching a doctor? Is soone at your house unwell?" Hearing they needed a doctor, Li Fugui’s heart sank, fearing sothing might have happened to Xiaotian.
"It’s our young madam. She bumped her stomach outside at noon. The young master is worried and sent to get the doctor. Ah, I must hurry now, can’t chat any longer." The coachman finished and drove the carriage away.
Li Fugui stood there, feeling particularly miserable.
His mind was filled with worries about whether Xiaotian was okay. He really wanted to go and see her, but he couldn’t. He knew Young Master Guo was at ho, and he didn’t want to cause any trouble for Xiaotian.
He often heard from others about how good Young Master Guo was to Xiaotian, which filled him with jealousy. He wanted to be by her side, but he had no opportunity.
The only thing he could do was keep waiting there. He wanted to see which doctor the Guo Mansion called so he could indirectly find out if anything was wrong with Xiaotian.
Finally, the carriage from the Guo Mansion returned with the doctor. He caught a glimpse of Doctor Luo from Baicao Hall getting off the carriage. He had a sense of it, yet his worried heart couldn’t rest, so he continued to wait there.

Xiaotian opened her eyes to see Guo Feng sitting beside her.
She looked out the window; the sun had already set. She hadn’t expected to sleep for so long.
Perhaps she was physically worn out from not going out for a long ti. "Hmm, sorry, I slept a bit long."
"What are you talking about? If you’re tired, sleep; if you’re hungry, eat. That’s your only job right now," Guo Feng said with a smile.
The nicer Guo Feng was, the more uncomfortable Xiaotian felt. Facing soone as good as Guo Feng, she had nothing to give in return, only guilt.
"Since you’re awake, get up now. Doctor Luo is already waiting outside."
"Doctor Luo?" Xiaotian was a bit surprised. Why did Doctor Luo co?
"Didn’t you bump your stomach earlier today? It’s always good to have a doctor take a look, just to be sure," Guo Feng explained when he saw her surprise.
"..." So he knew everything that happened outside. Would he find out that that Chef Jiang was actually Li Fugui?
She was a bit anxious, afraid he would know, since he was aware of her situation with Li Fugui. "I’m fine, really, there’s no need for a doctor."
"The doctor is already here, just let him take a look. It’s no trouble to check your pulse," Guo Feng persuaded. He invited the doctor because he didn’t want her to have any problems.
"Okay." Xiaotian agreed and got out of bed.
After tidying herself up a bit, she allowed Doctor Luo to co into the room for a consultation.
