No in-laws would want their daughter-in-law to stay at her parental ho for long; it’s bound to cause gossip.
Even though the in-laws said they didn’t mind, it’s not sothing the younger generation can do.
These past few days have been dizzying with family matters, not thinking much, and as the elder, I’ve been quite negligent.
Thinking of this, Zhong’s old man spoke up, "Xiaoxiao, you should go back with your younger brother-in-law later."
Xiaoxiao didn’t expect her father to say this so abruptly, asking her to go back. How could she do that? The family matters haven’t been settled yet, and even if she went, she wouldn’t be at ease. "Dad, there’s nothing much at ho. I’ll go back in a few days. Besides, our family’s matters aren’t finished."
Hearing his daughter’s words, Zhong’s old man was anxious. His daughter might truly be a fool; he blad them for spoiling her too much, spoiling her like she hadn’t grown up. She didn’t understand these things, and he was anxiously making eyes at his daughter, "Our family’s matters can be settled in a day or two; it’s nothing major, it will definitely work out. You go back with your younger brother-in-law."
But Xiaoxiao completely misunderstood her father’s look. She didn’t know about the daughter-in-law not supposed to stay at the parental ho for long; Yang Ming hadn’t ntioned it, and it was actually Yang Ming who said she could stay longer.
"Dad, I’ll go back when the family matters are done, no rush for these few days, and I’m just taking care of the kid if I go back, can’t help much in the fields."
Yang Dong also chid in, "Yeah, uncle, there’s nothing much at ho, and those of us can handle it, letting sister-in-law stay here can keep you company better."
Seeing these two in front of him, one his daughter like a fool and the other like a clueless boy, probably also a fool.
Zhong’s old man was extrely helpless, sighed inwardly, whatever, as long as the in-laws don’t mind, who cares what others say, their Zhong Family is not afraid of outsiders’ comnts, "Fine, as long as the in-laws don’t mind, my daughter is just a fool."
"Uncle, don’t worry, my parents specifically said they wouldn’t mind."
Having said that, Yang Dong glanced outside, then stood up, "Third sister-in-law, tell aunt not to prepare food for , I’m heading back now."
"Leaving already?" Xiaoxiao didn’t expect Yang Dong to leave so soon and asked.
"Yeah, I ca late, thought to deliver the stuff and go straight back."
"Then wait a mont." Xiaoxiao did not insist on keeping him, went straight out to find her mother since they are not outsiders.
Soon Xiaoxiao’s mother ca into the room with several return gifts, "Yang Dong, stay and have a al before leaving."
"No thanks, aunt, I ca late today, I need to hurry back, next ti I’ll co earlier to definitely eat before leaving." Yang Dong showed a sincere expression.
Seeing this, Xiaoxiao’s mother knew the kid really wanted to leave, so she said, "Well, look at you, alright then, aunt won’t keep you, take these for your family’s return gifts."
"Thank you, aunt." Yang Dong accepted the return gifts gratefully.
With that, everyone went out and sent Yang Dong to the gate.
Yang Dong put the return gifts on the carriage, loosened the reins tied to the carriage, said his goodbyes to the Zhong Family, then drove the carriage towards Yang Family Village.
Watching Yang Dong go away, Xiaoxiao shook her head.
Oh well, I was thinking of ntioning Li Chuntao’s matter, might as well do it after going back, especially since Li Chuntao hasn’t returned yet.
What Xiaoxiao didn’t expect was that in the few days she delayed ntioning it, everything changed.
