Michael showed the Orc Chieftains that their tribesn were already starting to accept a sense of unity between the two tribes. They enjoyed baseball as one group and were united by their desire for chocolate.
He even showed them how Orcupine Orcs and Orcanine Orcs worked together to improve the cultivation and strength of Rebornians through their unique resonance.
This particular glimpse into what the two tribes could accomplish was what all the Chieftains needed to finally realize the errors in their ways.
"I thought our resonance was gone because we lost the relic," the Orcanine Chieftain said, ruffling his mane in worry. "But it turned out it was only due to the rivalry between us?"
"The ancestors were right. Orcs were stronger together."
Michael let the two Chieftains ponder over it through the night. He watched as the two Chieftains returned to the forest and back to their village.
The next day, the two tribes arrived at the gates of Neo Orcus. It wasn't just the Chieftains, it was the whole entire tribe.
"The Orcanine Tribe is at your disposal."
"And so do the Orcupine Tribe."
The rest of the Orcs rallied behind the two Chieftains by slapping their knees and strumming their quills in synchronicity.
"I have told everyone of our plans to serve under your banner. As one. It took no convincing at all to have the rest of the tribe join in my decision," the Orcanine Chieftain said.
"We told them of our tribe's the history of our rivalry and admitted…that it is nothing but hubris and pride.
I confessed that I led the tribe into the wrong path for too long. It is therefore my responsibility to right that wrong.
I step down as the Chieftain of the Orcanine tribe and relinquish it to you, human, who is the chosen of the Earth Goddess."
The Orcupine Chieftain stepped up right after the Orcanine Chief and kneeled to Michael.
"I give way for your guidance as well."
The rest of the Orcs looked up at Michael with expectation in their gazes. Their eyes reflected the image of Michael standing with the Dragonborns and the rest of Neo Orcus standing behind him. They, too, longed to be part of his community.
"Well, I guess we should start the festival to commorate this event, right?"
Sheina began clapping, followed by the rest of the Dragonborns and the locals of Neo Orcus. It was a celebration.
Today was the day that the Orcs officially beca citizens of the Nation of Reborn.
The integration of the Orcs was much easier than Michael thought. He thought it would be hard to convince the Orcs to suddenly start working together after being rivals for so long, but seeing for themselves how Orcanines and Orcupines could play baseball together or share a beer was enough to dispel their previous thoughts.
Of course, as citizens, he had to awaken their talents first and foremost.
He first started with the forr Orcanine Cheiftain.
[Potential Evolution Paths]
— Obscured Shadow Orc
—— This Orc species uses the shadows as their main form of offense. They strike from where their opponents could not see or feel, dealing critical damage that may paralyze those unfortunate enough to be struck.
— Shadow Smith Orc
—— This subspecies of Orcs can nd their shadows into different constructs depending on the user's imagination. The stronger the image they have on their mind, the stronger and more detailed the shadow will beco.
— Earth's Shadow Orc
—— This Orc species uses their innate connection to the Earth and borrows from it the power to mold oneself into one that will conform to the ideals and will of the Earth Goddess.
Michael was not surprised when the Orc Chieftain chose the Earth's Shadow Orc bloodline.
"As expected. This is truly the way to please Her," the Orcanine Chieftain said. "Please, let beco Her shadow!"
As Michael chose the third option, a blinding light obscured the Orc's entire body for a few seconds.
Then, the light subsided, showing the Orcanine Orc's new form.
He didn't see much difference from the Orc's physical structure, with him having the sa Orc and Wolf mix of genes. However, there were now small flickering shadow flas emanating from the Orc's body.
As the Orcanine tested his new abilities, Michael observed that as the shadow flas increased in intensity in the Orc's body, the harder it was to 'perceive' him. It was as if he started to blend into the background, blend into the very Earth itself.
After evolving the forr Orcanine Chieftain, his counterpart was next.
Michael was surprised to find that despite their difference in species, the two Orc Chieftains' talents were strangely the sa.
He also chose to beco an Earth's Shadow Orc.
Michael thought that this was just a product of them being blood brothers when they were younger, but as Michael began to awaken the talents of the other Orcs, he was surprised to find out that all of them had a talent in the shadows.
Fudge was right. The Orcs did indeed have the talent to beco shadow ninjas like him.
Seeing this made Michael curious. Was a species' talent for sothing ford from their very birth, or nurtured through their childhood?
Their obsessive nature about the Earth Goddess must have influenced their talents in so way for it to manifest as one of their bloodline evolution options.
[Your conjecture has rit. Evidence seems to suggest that both nature and nurture has an effect on a person's talent.]
With ChatJK3's words, Michael was more sure of his guess. Though, he had no way to prove it.
He just had to awaken more people to get more evidence.
Anyway, after Michael spent three days awakening every Orc from the two tribes, Fudge popped out of his shadow and imdiately showed Michael his 'pity' eyes.
"Umm…Master…since I did good, can you please fulfill a small favor for ?"
Michael looked at the sli and knew exactly what it wanted. "Fine, you can have the Orcs."
"YES!"
Fudge didn't waste any ti and slipped out of his shadow to et with the Orcs.
anwhile, Michael sat in his bed looking at his system screen with a smile on his face. After awakening thousands of Orcs, he gained one of their innate skills.
"This is good. You think I can give this to every Rebornian?"
[Yes. Any Rebornian can receive this skill] ChatJK3 replied.
Michael looked at his screen. On it said:
