Participating in the auction taught him a lot of things, and the most important thing was that he couldn’t do it alone.
He thought that if he focused on only himself and made himself the strongest Maugnetic as fast as possible, then he could bring the Reborn company up in rankings very easily.
But he was wrong. If it weren’t for the Duchess’ black dallion, then he wouldn’t have been able to get into the last auction ga at all. He would have missed out on all 10 drops.
I think it’s ti for the Dragonborns to beco Maugnetics.
As far as he knew, only humans could beco Maugnetics. There had never been a case of demi-humans or any other species to have a Diva.
But now that he knew that Divas were based on a person’s talents, then it was safe to say that even the Dragonborns and practically every Rebornian had the chance to beco Maugnetics. In fact, it was a lot easier since they were all natural Maugnetics like him.
If he had enough GodForge pieces, then he could practically turn every Rebornian into a Maugnetic.
And according to ChatJK5, they’d be able to get connected to its network after they do so.
[That is right. You will be able to monitor their progress and even help them in so way.]
[Hmmm... this may actually be the first good idea you’ve made, girl.]
[Please do not refer to as ’girl’. Call by my na ChatJK5 or not call at all for that matter.]
This ti, even Harbinger was on board with the idea, which was rare. But it made sense. If all Harbinger wanted to do was to usher the future into the world, then this goal would be easier if he had a lot of helpers with the Dragonborns.
The problem is where I’m going to get GodForge pieces.
[Isn’t that easy? Just pick a Maugnetic off a street, defeat them, and take their GodForge pieces. Easy peasy.]
Harbinger’s suggestion was the easiest. In fact, he had a lot of chances to get GodForge pieces during the auction. But he refused to do so because it would have caused a panic with all of the crowd watching him from above.
Can’t do that, Harbinger. We have to do this the right way.
He wasn’t going to steal another person’s GodForge Aubilities unless they were a bad person who didn’t deserve them.
The good thing is that GodForge pieces aren’t like Soo drops. They can be found relatively plenty here in the surface world. I just have to find soone willing enough to sell them to .
He decided that the best person to ask this was the Duchess. So, he quickly teleported to her palace’ doorstep using the clones that he set up there.
As soon as he landed on their territory, he saw two people appear right next to him, who he recognized based on their outfits.
"Welco, sir Michael."
003 and 004 greeted him with a bow, being as respectful as ever.
"Her highness has been inford of your presence. You can find her in the garden," 004 said.
The two of them led the way, and he followed suit.
And as they walked, 003 spoke up to him about sothing.
"Sir Michael, I do apologize for failing our mission during the ga. We promised to get you one drop, and we weren’t able to get even a single one."
"Our sincerest apologies."
He wasn’t mad at them, of course. "It’s fine. I got 10 drops anyway."
The two were silent until they finally reached the garden where he saw the Duchess casually sitting at a marble table sipping RD Soda, of all things. She had a delighted look on her face as she felt the fizzling sensation as she drank the cola.
"Ah, Michael... I hope you’ve recovered well," she said, continuing to delight in the cup of soda.
"Yeah. As good as I could ever be," he replied.
She then gave permission to 003 and 004 to leave.
"You’ll have to excuse their awkwardness. You see, they’d never failed a mission before and still won. They didn’t expect you to be able to get your own Soo drops while they were unable to."
She then peeked at him. "I suppose you can’t tell how you were able to do that, can you?"
He just gave her a shrug.
"Well I suppose it doesn’t matter. I have learned by now that you don’t conform to normal trics. What may seem impossible to others is simply just a typical thing for you."
BEEP BEEP
Just then, the sounds of nurous vehicles and trucks echoed out from beyond the garden. They seed to be carrying loads of materials given the hum of the engines.
"I see you’ve been making good use of your automobiles," he said to her.
"I have. It’s a trendous help as I expected."
He was glad to hear that. The more she was enthralled with the automobiles, the more likely she’d approve getting his Golden Road connected to tropolis.
"Just a quick question, where can I purchase GodForge pieces?"
She stopped sipping her soda and looked at him curiously. "Are you planning on expanding your company’s foundation? That’s good."
As expected of the Duchess, she already understood his intentions.
"Well, it’s not as rare as Soo drops, but it’s still hard to find a company willing to sell them, especially now when everyone’s preparing for the parade.
But... you can certainly trade for them. I’m sure your visitors already told you, but Sand Dollars are quickly rising in demand for now. If you can shell out Sand Dollars, then practically every company will be willing to sell you their excess GodForge pieces in exchange."
With the advent of Sand Dollars, it was now becoming the currency of companies. Priceless items and commodities that couldn’t even be purchased with gold coins, can now be purchased using Sand Dollars.
If he had enough of them, he could obtain both GodForge pieces and Soo drops all at the sa ti, practically guaranteeing his rise in Diva cultivation stages.
"So it just ans that I need to get Sand Dollars from the tourists, right?"
"Correct."
"Then please introduce to the rn," he said, pleading. "I need to know why they want to et with the Fairies. It must have sothing to do with the rn and the tourists."
The Duchess nodded, already expecting his request. "They’ve already left tropolis, but I know where they’re going to go. You have to et with them yourself if you want answers."
She then wrote on parchnt paper the directions he needed to follow to find the rn.
He studied the map and saw that they had gone further North, sowhere he hadn’t been before.
They travelled on the North-East of tropolis and through the—
He realized he couldn’t understand the writing on the landmark’s na. It looked like a bunch of chickens had danced all over it.
"Umm, Duchess? What na is this?"
She looked over her own work. "That’s the Tru’gen Straight. The shade on the tree must have made your eyesight a little worse, haha!"
He awkwardly laughed with her. He didn’t want to be the first one to tell her that her handwriting was worse than a toddler’s.
