Selena Kensington had already decided on three roles.
The male lead Zane Quinn, the second male lead Jared Yardley, and the antagonist Landon.
These three had been finalized by Selena Kensington.
Therefore, this casting primarily focused on the female lead Yara Helmsworth, the second female lead Faith Fuller, the third female lead Lily Payne, and The Demon Lord Felix Lloyd.

Lily Payne is the younger sister of the male lead Zane Quinn, his childhood playmate.
The two grew up together in the Quinn Manor, and after the manor’s massacre, only Zane Quinn and Lily Payne survived.
But while escaping from the Quinn Manor, Lily Payne fell off a cliff trying to save Zane, and before that, she urged Zane Quinn to definitely go to The Immortal Sects.
This was a turning point for Zane Quinn’s journey to The Immortal Sects.
Later in the story, Lily Payne reappears when Zane Quinn battles The Demon Lord; once again, Lily sacrifices herself, becoming Zane’s Sword Spirit to save him.
The sword was eventually nad Lotus Heart by Zane Quinn.
Lily Payne’s character is consistently portrayed positively; though she is younger than Zane, she is like a little adult caring for him ever since they were young, supporting him after the Quinn Manor was destroyed.
She always hoped in her heart that Zane would eventually reach the pinnacle of The Immortal Sects.
This is just the surface portrayal of Lily Payne.
In Selena Kensington’s depiction, Lily Payne, despite being selfless, is also a normal girl with dreams that girls should have.
After falling off the cliff, she was rescued by The Demon Lord Felix Lloyd while gravely injured.
Emotional entanglents ensued between the two.
Later, during Zane Quinn’s battle with The Demon Lord, Lily Payne finally recognized Zane.
Though she sacrificed herself as a Sword Spirit to protect Zane, her feelings for The Demon Lord continued to haunt her.
Selena Kensington was casting for this scene, the one that best depicts Lily Payne’s internally complex yet resolute emotions.
The audition was conducted in pairs.
Groups of girls ca in with smiling faces but left with expressions full of dejection and sorrow.
Making the waiting girls outside anxious and uneasy.
Is it really this difficult for just the third female lead?!
Inside, Selena Kensington rubbed her brow wearily.
None of the earlier actresses embodied the image of Lily Payne she had in mind.
