Sterling Norwood walked past Saul Norwood, only to be stopped by him.
Saul slightly lifted the sleeve of one of his hands.
On his arm, within the indigo-colored veins, there seed to be a faint flow of blue serum...
Saul slightly furrowed his brows. "How many shots did you use this ti?"
Sterling’s tone was calm, but his voice still carried a hint of undeniable weakness. "Three."
Saul’s brow furrowed even tighter. "You can’t keep doing this..."
Sterling pulled down his sleeve. "Grandfather, I know what I’m doing."
Saul glared at him and lowered his voice. "You know what you’re doing?! I think you don’t care about your life anymore!"
Sterling pressed his lips together slightly and said nothing.
Selena Kensington looked over in their direction.
Sterling saw her and said to Saul, "Grandfather, don’t let her know."
After speaking, he walked toward Selena.
Saul sighed and said nothing.
He knew how obsessive his grandson was.
He wouldn’t give up; he would even do more for her.
Sterling ca over.
Selena looked at him. "Are you uncomfortable?"
Sterling shook his head. "It’s nothing. I went up to change clothes."
Sterling indeed had changed his outfit.
Selena nodded but discreetly looked at his neck.
There, there seed to be a mark left by a syringe.
Also... leaning close to him, she could even sll a faint perfu scent.
The scent was fresh and pleasant, not making one feel uncomfortable.
But it made Selena feel very strange.
Sterling never used such things, so why would he wear perfu? It was as if... trying to cover so sll.

Selena walked inside.
She dared not turn on the light.
She could only use her phone’s flashlight function to navigate her way inside.
She approached Sterling’s usual workspace.
There were only a few piles of docunts on the desk.
Selena wanted to open the drawer on the left but found it locked.
She vaguely felt that it contained the answers she wanted to know.
"Who?!"
Selena suddenly turned around and looked behind her.
Sterling erged from the darkness.
Bathed in the moonlight from the window, his gaze was obscure and profound, fixated on Selena like a hunter eyeing his prey.
Simply waiting for the right mont to devour her whole.
"What are you looking for?"
Seeing it was him, Selena’s body naturally relaxed.
If it was him, she wouldn’t be afraid.
Selena t his gaze directly. "Sterling, what’s inside... here?"
Sterling had said it wasn’t the right ti yet; he would eventually tell her.
But she truly couldn’t wait any longer.
She couldn’t stand the feeling of being kept in the dark; she wanted to help him, she also wanted to understand him better.
Selena slowed her tone, her voice soft. "...Tell , will you?"
