Sterling Norwood felt a bit helpless inside, but he hid it well. "Got it, are you hungry?"
Had he not ntioned it, Selena Kensington wouldn’t have realized, but now that he did, she truly felt hungry.
She had been so focused on things earlier that she didn’t notice, but now that she was relaxing, the hunger ca on strong.
"I’m hungry."
She nodded.
"Then let’s go eat."
Sterling took her hand.

After that, Sterling didn’t let Selena get involved in any of the preparations.
Until the morning of August 13th, when Sterling woke Selena up.
"Mmm..." she opened her eyes groggily.
"Get up and pack your luggage."
Sterling’s words completely woke Selena up, and she quickly hopped out of bed.
"Are we leaving today? What ti’s the flight?"
She asked while getting up.
"No rush, we’ll leave after lunch. Private jet."
"..."
It’s nice to have soone taking care of things.
With that reassurance, Selena relaxed.
She went to the bathroom to freshen up for a while, then walked over to the closet.
She picked up a suitcase and opened it.
Looking at the clothes in the closet, she thought about what Vivian Sutton said yesterday.
Little dresses...
She definitely wanted to bring pretty little dresses!
And the swimwear Vivian had ntioned yesterday...
But... Selena feared that Sterling might toss them out before she even had a chance to wear them.
She was slightly troubled.
Selena bit her lip; she’d bring them anyway, and deal with wearing them later!
Ultimately, Selena was satisfied as she carried her small suitcase down the stairs.
She called Hugh Kensington, "I’m going away for a few days. Can you keep an eye on things here for ?"
"I’m watching over things. Just go and have fun with your brother-in-law."
With Hugh’s reassurance, Selena hung up the phone.
After finishing lunch, Selena and Sterling boarded the private jet bound for Vyland.

On the plane.
Selena asked Sterling with interest, "Sterling, where are we going first?"
Under Selena’s expectant gaze, Sterling slowly replied, "Mirel."
"Yay!"
Selena cheered.
Later, feeling a bit bored on the plane, Selena approached the flight attendant.
"Madam, do you need anything?"
The flight attendant smiled as she asked.
Selena thought for a mont and asked, "Are there any gas for entertainnt?"
The flight attendant responded, "Yes, we have playing cards, checkers..."
She listed so gas, and Selena considered, "Get the checkers set."
Most of the other gas needed several players, but with checkers, she and Sterling could play.
"Okay, madam, please wait a mont."
Once the flight attendant brought the checkers set, Selena returned, satisfied.
She placed the checkers on the table between her and Sterling and started to unpack.
Sterling watched her and asked, "What’s this?"
As Selena opened the ga, she replied, "Checkers."
She paused, "You’ve never played before, have you?"
She pondered and realized that such a simple ga didn’t seem to fit with Sterling’s style.
"No worries, I’ll teach you!"
Selena was confident. Surely she wouldn’t lose to Sterling, who was a beginner, right?!
After all, when she played with Hugh as a child, she always won!
Selena conveniently forgot that, as a child, she had displayed a talent for being cheeky.
Every ti she played checkers with Hugh, she’d resort to various kinds of coercion and mischief.
Like regretting a move, or sneaking forward a few steps when Hugh wasn’t looking.
Either way, every trick succeeded easily.
Even though Hugh eventually realized her little antics, he adhered to the principle of not disputing with girls, especially not with girls from his family.
Each ti, Selena managed to get her way.
