Sterling Norwood’s inner alarm was ringing loud, "You still have a long day of shopping ahead, this dress is not convenient, be good, wear it when we get ho."
He’d hide it away when they got ho!
"...Alright then."
Selena Kensington reluctantly changed out of the dress.
Sterling Norwood asked the clerk to wrap the dress and went to pay.
After they left the store, Sterling hadn’t even had ti to think about how to convince Selena to forget about the A-line dress before she dragged him into another shop.
What happened next, Sterling couldn’t be a part of.
Because he was completely cut out.
Selena seed not to expect him to participate either; she picked out clothes to try on, then ca out and gave Sterling a twirl, waiting for him to say, "Looks nice."
"...Wait, this one?"
Sterling squinted, staring at what Selena was wearing.
The nearby clerk continued to praise her, "Miss, this dress is stunning thanks to its sexy design, and it really highlights the word ’sexy’ on you."
Selena herself was extrely fond of this dress.
A dark-toned gradient dress.
The top part was deep blue transitioning gradually into pure black at the bottom.
There was a cinched waist design, and most importantly, this dress exposed one shoulder while the other was covered by sheer fabric.
The fabric was very translucent and thin, giving a glimpse of the shoulder hidden underneath.
Radiating a hazy sense of seduction.
"Change into another one."
Sterling suddenly spoke up.
Selena paused.
She looked pleadingly at Sterling, "Honey..."
Noticing the couple seed to be having a disagreent, the clerks withdrew, leaving them to negotiate privately.
Seeing Sterling’s inscrutable expression, Selena bit her lip.
Giving up the little dress was impossible! But she also had to sweet-talk her husband...
Oh, this was so tough.
"Let’s just buy this one, you can decide on all the others, okay?"
She said in a conciliatory tone.
Sterling’s eyebrows relaxed, though he was slightly helpless, "Do you know how many tis you’ve used that line today?"
Selena was imdiately tongue-tied.
She began to realize about all the clothes she’d just bought; she seed to have coaxed Sterling like this every ti.
"Be a good girl, there are better-looking ones, change into another."
Sterling gently coaxed her.
But Selena was stubborn as always; she shook her head, "I just love this one!"
With that, she seed to make so kind of decision.
She tiptoed and whispered in Sterling’s ear, "I won’t wear it out, I’ll just wear it for you, okay?"
Her breath was as fragrant as orchids at his ear, and her soft words passed through his eardrum into his mind, the warm breath lingered near his ear, causing a mont of disarray in his breathing.
His eyes beca even more enigmatic, gradually darkening.
And he felt a bit exasperated and amused; his wife was really pulling out all the stops to keep the dress.
She was even using her charms now.
As Selena stepped back, she could see from Sterling’s expression that her plan had already half succeeded.
Without waiting for Sterling to speak, she stood on tiptoe and gave him a peck on the lips, "Thank you, honey, mwah!"
"..."
Sterling was speechless.
Selena excitedly went to find the clerk to change out of the dress and have it packed.
By the ti Sterling went to pay, he was holding three or four shopping bags.
Selena walked around him once, "Is my shopping stamina weakened? How co I’ve only bought these in the morning..."
"?"
Sterling was silent, holding those four or five bags.
"Aren’t these...a lot?"
Selena shrugged, "This doesn’t count as a lot. When I used to shop with Weixin, each of us had four or five bags, and not to ntion Tiny Minister carrying seven or eight bags."
