Then Selena Kensington watched as the distinguished, cold man bent down slightly, focusing intently as he removed her shoes.
Even taking off shoes with such focus... Selena thought, how could this person be so wonderful?
After removing her shoes, the man climbed into bed and wrapped Selena in his embrace.
His chin rested on Selena’s head, his large hands encircling her slender waist, as if he were hugging a pillow.
Selena breathed in the crisp scent from the man, feeling her inner tension and unease lt away, replaced by a sense of extraordinary peace.
She instinctively nuzzled against the man’s firm chest, and slowly fell asleep.
But the man holding her had bright eyes, devoid of any sleepiness.
He seed a bit incredulous, holding the person in his arms tightly, without saying a word.
He was attempting to head towards his light, yet didn’t expect.
His light was actively coming to him.
It was an unthinkable desire he never dared to hope for, yet now, here she was in his arms.
The greed he had restrained so much, his desires began to stir again.
Since she stepped in voluntarily, she should be confined in the cage he created for her.
Thinking of this, he couldn’t suppress his excitent and thrill.

Selena woke up, instinctively reaching out to the side.
No one was there.
Her heart panicked, she pushed back the covers and ran out, not even noticing she hadn’t worn shoes.
Opening the door, she saw Sterling Norwood slowly climbing the stairs. Seeing her rush out in panic, her eyes were tear-streaked, and her hair was ssy.
His eyes darkened, just about to speak, when he saw Selena running towards him without stopping.
Like prey voluntarily running to the hunter. It made him feel delighted.
He hugged Selena, felt her body slightly cold, and asked in a deep voice, "Why did you rush out suddenly?"
Selena held him tightly, feeling the warmth from Sterling’s body, and her heart finally settled.
She had a nightmare, where she saw a deflated, desolate Sterling Norwood, no matter what she tried, she couldn’t save his fate, watching helplessly as everything unfolded before her.
Then she dreamt of Sterling committing suicide in front of her grave, startling her awake.
"...You weren’t there." Selena mumbled, her voice slightly choked.
You weren’t there, so I was scared.
Sterling was so comforted by this sentence that any temper within him vanished, his heart turning soft.
"Sticking to so much?" His tone was gentle, putting away all his sharp edges, revealing only his softest side in front of the girl.
Selena nuzzled against Sterling, not saying a word.
Sterling happily carried Selena back to the bedroom.
He put her shoes on, then carried Selena to the bathroom to freshen up.
In the bathroom, Selena looked at her slightly swollen eyes and ssy hair.
A bit incredulous, and a little angered, she pushed Sterling out.
She just ran out like that, so embarrassing!
So fragile yet loves beauty.
This was Sterling’s thought in his mind.
When Selena finally ca out of the bathroom after dawdling for half a day, Sterling was already gone, leaving only the servants cleaning the room.
Fortunately, the room was just recently renovated, so most of the precious and valuable items hadn’t been moved in yet.
Otherwise, Selena would have been heartbroken.
"Madam, your luggage has been placed in the wardrobe room for you," a maid said, and Selena nodded, following the maid’s direction, walking towards the wardrobe room.
"..." The Norwood Family is truly extravagant.
They directly knocked through the adjacent room to make a wardrobe room.
This wardrobe room was larger than her previous room at the Kensington Family.
Countless luxury brand clothes, dresses, bags, and shoes instantly made Selena fall in love with this place.
Having been influenced by her actress mother since childhood, Selena had a particular fondness for these things.
