Roxanne Sutton had a smile on her face, extending a hand intending to shake hands with Rosalind Blanchett, but Rosalind turned away.

Roxanne’s outstretched hand hung awkwardly in mid-air.

After turning away, Rosalind called out to Catherine Blanchett, "Sister."

"Miss Sutton, this is your first ti here. Why not introduce yourself to everyone?"

Catherine Blanchett sneered.

"She’s just an illegitimate daughter, what’s there to introduce!"

At Catherine’s words, a trace of malice flashed in Roxanne’s eyes.

At the sa ti, she placed her hands behind her back.

Out of sight, her nails dug into her palms.

"Alright, everyone, let’s sit down and have so snacks. We can chat while we eat."

Then Catherine invited those socialites to sit down.

For a mont, those socialites couldn’t see what these two sisters were up to.

Hearing Catherine’s words, they all sat down.

Perhaps it was part of Catherine’s arrangent.

Once the socialites sat down, all the chairs on the lawn of the manor were filled.

They looked at each other.

Rosalind let out a small "ah."

Then turned around and said apologetically to Roxanne, "I’m really sorry, Miss Sutton, I didn’t know you were coming, so I didn’t arrange a seat for you."

"It’s okay."

Roxanne said with a forced smile.

Rosalind seed oblivious to her face’s expression and continued, "But don’t worry, I’ll have a servant fetch a chair from the manor right away."

Not far away, Vivian Sutton and Selena Kensington watched the situation unfold.

"Are these sisters playing good cop, bad cop?"

Vivian asked.

Selena nodded.

"It’s going to be a good show... Roxanne must be furious inside now."

"But she can’t get angry."

Vivian watched the events unfold with relish.

Later, Rosalind indeed instructed the manor’s servant to bring a chair.

However, the chair was noticeably shorter than the chairs the other socialites were sitting on.

As if Roxanne’s status was beneath theirs.

"Miss Sutton, you don’t mind sitting here, do you?"

Rosalind asked with a smile.

"...Of course not."

Roxanne looked at the shorter chair, her face maintaining a normal expression despite her burning anger inside.

"That’s good."

After saying that, Rosalind returned to her previous seat.

Although Roxanne had a seat, the socialites didn’t converse with her.

Catherine looked at the seemingly isolated Roxanne, a mocking gleam in her eyes.

Does she think she can compete with ?!

At this point, Catherine signaled to a socialite sitting closest to Roxanne.

The socialite received Catherine’s signal and nodded slightly.

Then she said to Roxanne, "Hello, Miss Sutton, I’m Catherine Young."

When Catherine Young spoke up, it drew quite a few eyes.

After all, these socialites had been paying attention to Roxanne’s actions and were already curious.

Roxanne didn’t expect a stranger to greet her.

But since the other person extended their hand, Roxanne naturally had no reason not to shake it back.

"Hello."

Roxanne gave a light shake and withdrew her hand.

Catherine Young didn’t mind and continued, "Miss Sutton, if I may ask, you used to live with your mother, right?"

"So, where were you living before?"

Catherine Young’s question instantly put Roxanne on alert.

"Why do you ask, Miss Young?"

She thought for a mont but didn’t directly refuse Catherine’s question.

Instead, she asked back, probing.

With an unchanged expression, Catherine Young said, "Just curious, is there sothing you can’t say?"

Since she was the first to talk to Roxanne, Roxanne couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

Otherwise, she’d return to a state of isolation and neglect.

Moreover, these things are easily discovered by others anyway.

So Roxanne replied.

"Westport."

Catherine Young appeared slightly surprised, "Westport? That’s quite far..."

She didn’t lower her voice, so other socialites heard it too.

They began to discuss among themselves.

"Westport? Isn’t that on the western edge of The Empire? So far..."

"I heard Westport used to be a wild place!"

"Hey, don’t say that. Tourism there has developed quite a bit in the past decade..."

"But savages are still savages. Even if they co to Aethelgard, it can’t hide their wild aura!"

"Tsk tsk... So she’s from Westport, no wonder I don’t like the vibe she carries!"

After they had discussed enough, Catherine spoke slowly.

"After all, her mother was a mistress, so where she cos from isn’t important."

The nearby socialites echoed, "Yes, exactly!"

"Only she could be shaless enough to co here seeking recognition."

"If it were , I’d have kicked her out long ago!"

After they finished speaking, many turned to chat with Vivian Sutton.

"Miss Sutton, it must have been tough for you, putting up with this."

"Indeed, Miss Sutton, you’re truly generous..."

Those socialites who attended today, although they didn’t usually have much dealing with Catherine, enjoyed drama and gossip.

Catherine wanted them to watch a show, so naturally, they would fuel the fire, making the scene more lively.

After all, Roxanne was irrelevant to them, and siding with Catherine seed more beneficial.

This is why they eagerly discussed Roxanne.

Selena was surprised to hear Roxanne was from Westport.

After all, she never investigated Roxanne’s background.

Additionally, Roxanne never ntioned her past to the dia.

Westport...

This made Selena think of the Mayfield Family from Westport.

Roxanne watched the socialites, unabashedly loud, discussing her, her face had long turned ashen.

When they had almost finished, Catherine Young spoke to Roxanne.

"I’m sorry, Miss Sutton, but since you’re from Westport, you shouldn’t mind this, right?"

Catherine Young smiled, "After all, I heard people from wilderness areas aren’t that fussy."

Roxanne kept silent, her face dark.

She realized that Catherine Young approached her to expose her family background, leading to the socialites’ ridicule.

Those mocking, mocking words pierced Roxanne’s ears.

Ultimately, she couldn’t stand it and stood up.

Catherine looked at Roxanne, her eyes squinting dangerously, "The tea party isn’t over, where are you going?"
