"So, let’s invite Selena Kensington from the Academy of Arts, Directing Departnt, to the stage."
Upon hearing her na called by the speaker on stage, Selena Kensington’s first reaction was to wonder if there was a mistake.
But then she felt Vivian Sutton, beside her, nudging her to go on stage.
"Go on, go on! It’s your turn!"
Seeing Vivian making faces at her, Selena realized that this might be a surprise for her.
The graduates in the hall exchanged glances when they heard Selena’s na.
"Really? Selena is here too?"
"I rember she graduated early last year and didn’t attend the graduation ceremony..."
"The school is so thoughtful to arrange the degree conferral ceremony for her now."
"Ahhh, but it’s really an honor to be her classmate!"
"Look! She’s standing up!"
As Selena stood up and walked toward the stage, the hall erupted in applause.
Selena arrived on stage and shook hands with the school leader.
"Congratulations, Selena."
Selena smiled, "Thank you."
Originally, Selena thought the school leader would conduct the degree conferral ceremony for her.
To her surprise, the school leader stepped aside.
And soone walked out from behind the stage.
It was Heath Hayes.
Upon seeing Heath Hayes, Selena understood.
"Teacher, you ca."
Heath Hayes ca out smiling, "It’s my student’s degree conferral ceremony, of course I ca."
Then, Heath Hayes conducted the degree conferral ceremony for Selena.
After the ceremony ended, Heath Hayes said with satisfaction, "With your achievents, your mother would see it from above."
Selena smiled silently.
When Selena’s degree conferral ceremony was over, the graduation ceremony reached its conclusion.
After taking a final group photo, the students in the hall all began to exit.
"Let’s go quickly too, or there won’t be any space outside."
Seeing the others leaving, Vivian Sutton hurriedly stood up as well.
Fortunately, their location was right by a door, so they could exit directly.
The three of them arrived at the lawn by the artificial lake outside.
"Clent, hold this!"
As soon as Vivian ca out, she handed the cara to Clent Luther, while she dragged Selena into various poses for Clent to photograph.
Finally, they asked a passerby to take a few group photos of them.
Once everything was captured, the three sat down on a bench by the lake.
Vivian admired the photos they had just taken, and as she looked, her hands stopped moving.
"Sigh..."
Vivian suddenly tossed the cara into Clent’s arms.
Her action caught Clent off guard, making him hurriedly catch it.
"What’s wrong, my lady?"
Clent asked helplessly.
Vivian pouted, "It’s just that I haven’t realized we’ve already graduated!"
"Thinking about how we might not see each other for a long ti after graduation..."
Clent was sowhat speechless, "We’re all from Aethelgard, what are you worried about not seeing each other?"
"..."
Vivian paused.
Then she suddenly slapped her thigh.
"Right!"
"Those people from our departnt have been crying about sentintal things every day, and I’ve been affected!"
"We can et up often!"
Seeing Vivian return to her usual lively self, Selena and Clent exchanged a glance.
They both saw the helplessness and amusent in each other’s eyes.
After all, only this kind of Vivian was the Vivian they knew.
Selena tilted her head and asked, "After graduation, what are you two planning? When’s the wedding?"
She rembered the two planned to marry after graduation when they got engaged.
"Ahem..."
Clent cleared his throat lightly.
Vivian glared at him, then turned to answer Selena’s question.
"Actually, after thinking it over, we decided to wait until our careers are stable before considering marriage."
Selena glanced at Clent.
She noticed the look of helplessness on his face.
"That’s your idea, isn’t it?"
Selena smiled at Vivian.
"Don’t tell you have a fear of marriage."
Vivian, as if her secret had been exposed, turned a little red.
She leaned in and whispered in Selena’s ear, "It’s just that I read online that marriage is the grave of love, and after marrying, one becos a hag..."
Vivian loved surfing the web, so she ca across all sorts of things.
These words were no doubt sothing she read while browsing online.
Selena laughed and teased her, "You believe that?"
"Do I look like a hag now?"
"..."
Vivian glanced at Selena.
She found not only had Selena beco much prettier since marrying, but the change was not just in her appearance; it was a change in her aura.
Elegant, composed, with the charm of a mature woman.
Yet in her eyes, there was a hint of warmth and softness.
Such a woman, you could tell, was cherished by her husband.
"You’re right..."
Vivian found her voice again.
Then, as if seizing onto another reason, she declared, "Oh well, I also want to break into the entertainnt industry, so let’s not talk about this now!"
"Fine, fine."
Given Vivian’s insistence, Selena could only go along with her.
"Guess Clent will have to wait again."
Clent said with resignation, "I’ve waited for her to grow up, for her to wise up; I can wait this ti too."
Vivian huffed a few tis, but Selena could sense her current mood was quite cheerful.
She changed the topic.
"What plans do you have after graduation?"
"What else? Clent officially takes charge of the Luther family’s business, and I naturally want to break into the entertainnt industry!"
Clent had been trying out managing Luther family affairs with his elder sister Cecilia Luther to make it easier for him to take over after graduation.
And since Vivian studied acting, naturally, she wanted to beco an actress in the entertainnt industry.
Selena nodded, "Sounds great."
Then, as if recalling sothing, she ntioned to Vivian, "By the way, there seems to be an audition show in preparation recently. You might want to give it a try."
Hearing Selena talk about acting, Vivian imdiately perked up.
"Quick, tell , what is it?"
"I think it’s a talent show called ’Star of Entertainnt,’ currently open for registration. You can find more details online."
"If you think it looks good, I can ask the agent Hugh arranged for you to help you sign up."
Selena had inadvertently co across this information in Hugh Kensington’s office.
Since there wasn’t much happening at that mont, Selena had skimd through the content.
"OK, OK!"
Vivian signaled an ’OK’ gesture with her hand.
"I’ll do my best this ti!"
"Yep, I believe in you."
Clent let out a soft sigh, "Just don’t lose your cool when you see those younger cute boys."
Vivian was quite the otokonoko fan, which was why Clent had grown up with her but she’d never realized it.
