Sloane Hawthorne instinctively nodded along with the awkward comnt from Silas Sinclair, then silently led Silas to another seat.
And that seat, coincidentally, happened to be right next to Annelise Mayfield.
Annelise looked bewilderedly at Sloane as he sat down beside her with Silas, then gave her a little smile.

Inside, Annelise felt a subtle sense of collapse.
She had specifically chosen this spot to avoid these two couples.
But in the end, she still couldn’t avoid them.
Annelise silently sighed in her heart.
anwhile, at the edge of the venue, the reporters who were ready to snap photos for the press conference watched this scene unfold, and their gossip flas imdiately reignited fiercely.
"Sloane sat down next to Annelise!!"
"Annelise’s expression seems a bit exasperated?"
"?? Seriously? Are they just pretending to be friendly?"
"Hey, don’t jump to conclusions. Look, they’re happily chatting now."

Selena Kensington raised an eyebrow when she saw Sloane head over to Annelise’s side.
She glanced at the reporters standing at the edge but didn’t say anything.
It seems like they wanted to respond to the previous rumors.
Just as Selena was about to retract her gaze, she felt a tightness around her waist.
Looking down, she found Sterling Norwood’s hand slightly tightening its hold around her waist.
When Sterling noticed Selena’s attention shift toward him, he released his grip slightly.
Selena gave him a curious look.
Sterling responded to her in an unruffled manner, "It’s about to start, don’t get distracted."

Selena took a serious glance and found nothing amiss with Sterling. Only then did she look away.
But... seeing as the press conference hadn’t filled up with people yet, and there was still so ti before it began.
Sterling’s ’it’s about to start’ seed quite intriguing.
Selena vaguely entertained an unbelievable thought.
Since when did Sterling even mind her looking at others for a second?
In the past, while Sterling sotis got inexplicably jealous, he always restrained himself, showing a great deal of respect for her.
The current Sterling, not that he showed any disrespect, seed more like his originally suppressed nature was gradually erging.
Selena was startled by this thought.
What is Sterling’s true nature?

Sterling’s voice echoed, eerie and profound.
Selena snapped back to reality from her thoughts, instinctively lifting her head to look at Sterling.
And what she saw was the fleeting fierceness and... murderous intent in Sterling’s eyes.
This murderous intent wasn’t directed at Selena, of course.
But toward Annelise and Sloane.
Sterling believed Selena was occupied with thoughts about those two.
Although Selena had already accepted internally the exposure of Sterling’s true nature, facing it head-on for the first ti still gave her a sense of oppression, even if she wasn’t afraid or terrified.
She took a few shallow breaths to calm her mind.
Then she beckoned with her little finger to Sterling, "Co here."
Sterling hesitated for a mont, curious about Selena’s gesture, but he obediently leaned in.
Selena watched as Sterling leaned in close without question, a hint of amusent flashing in her eyes.
After Sterling paused in front of her for a while, seeing that Selena made no other moves.
Just as he was about to ask, Selena suddenly leaned forward and gently pecked his lips.
It was truly just a light touch.
Selena quickly withdrew after the peck.
And this scene was quickly captured by the reporter who had been closely watching Selena and Sterling’s interactions.
Looking at the photo in her cara, she couldn’t help but sigh, how sweet.
Sterling was montarily taken aback by her sudden action.
Thus, he didn’t manage to stop Selena from swiftly pulling away.
Seeing Selena’s smiling expression, the previously stirred fierce emotions inside Sterling slowly dissipated.
"Do you think that alone can coax ?"
Sterling chuckled lightly and said.
Selena blinked, seeing the amusent in Sterling’s eyes. "Haven’t I already managed to calm you?"
She finished, then naturally snuggled into Sterling’s arms.
"How about now? Have I cald you down?"
She nuzzled into Sterling’s chest and then looked up, smilingly asking him.
Her features were soft, and when she spoke, there was a hint of coquettishness in her tone.
Making one unable to hold any anger.
Sterling was just like that.
He gently tightened his hold on Selena, adjusting to a position where she wouldn’t feel uncomfortable.
Then he looked down, smiled, "Yes, you’ve cald ."
That little episode quickly passed.
After appeasing Sterling, Selena happily snuggled in his arms, watching the fashion show.
Lynn Rhodes’ collection is indeed getting better and better. This winter collection, in particular, used an ice-blue the throughout.
While the color was mostly consistent, the designs were fresh.
Making Selena’s eyes light up with excitent.
The fashion show didn’t last long, ending after just over an hour.
When it concluded, Selena and Sterling waited until most people had left before they got up to leave.
Selena glanced at where Sloane and the others were just now, but they were already gone.
They might have left early.
With that thought, Selena didn’t say much, and together with Sterling, she walked out of the event hall.
