There were about 120 people in a pany.
There was the pany mander, the deputy pany mander, and the liaison officer in each pany.
There were three platoon leaders with no deputies.
There were three classes in each platoon, with a platoon leader but no deputies.
The pany mander wasn’t around, so the deputy mander had full authority to handle all the pany’s matters. Zhu Zhifan wasn’t just any pany mander. If there was an urgent matter, he could still handle it. However, he couldn’t interfere with the pany’s matters.
Political missar Tang saw that pany mander Zhu didn’t have any confidence in Ye Jian and was furious. If the soldiers weren’t here, he would have kicked him away.
