“He pulled out his IV. I’m going to find a nurse. You go check on that idiot,” Xia Jinyuan leaned in, kissing Ye Jian naturally, “We’re being discharged this afternoon, and we’ve got a scene to perform.”
After the kiss, the conversation was over.
Ye Jian tiptoed and landed a kiss on his clean-shaven jaw, “That was quick. Why not stay a few more days?”
“The situation outside has changed; we need to be preemptive. At the hotel, we have Noah’s people. If we run into Cyril’s people, we have backup. But in the hospital, if we encounter Cyril’s people, it’s just the three of us against them, which is a disadvantage.”
Knowing that Cyril was actively searching for someone, Xia Jinyuan had thought of using Noah’s hand for protection, and a hotel, such a good place, shouldn’t go to waste.

Seeing the expressionless T6, Ye Jian knew exactly what he was thinking and coughed awkwardly, convincing herself that their kisses were purely for munication purposes!
After mentally reassuring herself several times, Ye Jian, with her thin face finally not feeling so hot, sat beside the bed and spoke softly, “Are you sure you’re okay? Now is not the time to be stubborn and reckless.”
T6, who continued to be expressionless, replied, “I’m lying here, sleeping, and every day I see you two acting lovey-dovey. If I don’t get discharged, I’m going to have a heart attack.”
“Here, let me prove I can be discharged. Don’t help me,” T6 said, as he propped himself up with his arms, a slow but smooth action.
Ye Jian felt somewhat reassured.
The main issue was T6’s broken ribs. The wound on the back of his head wasn’t as serious; it wasn’t even bandaged, just covered with a square gauze pad taped down, invisible from the front.
T6 didn’t immediately stand up after placing his feet on the floor, but instead took a moment to catch his breath before rising.
Having not left the bed for two days, the sensation of his feet hitting the floor excited T6 so much that he nearly stumbled as if he was about to fall.
Quick to react, Ye Jian’s heart skipped a beat as she promptly steadied him. It was a good thing she was prepared, or else if he had fallen, his ribs would have been in trouble again.
“Pretending! Keep on pretending! You can’t even stand properly, and you still want to be discharged?” Ye Jian feigned anger, “Do you want to hurt yourself again? Turn a minor injury into a serious one?”
The excited T6 felt even more like crying, “I’m really not being reckless. It’s excitement, really, no lies! e on, let go of me, I’ll walk and show you!”
Ye Jian was half-convinced, but also considering the situation outside, she slowly released her grip, “Stand firm, I’m letting go now. If you can walk, then walk, but absolutely do not force yourself.”
She cautioned him again and again, ready to support him at any moment.
