Now, their group was part of the assistance team, waiting for the latest news from another team tasked with rescuing the scientist before they could proceed with their actions.
Pulling out his phone, Xia Jinyuan sent a text to Ye Jian.
Ye Jian, just getting into a car, heard the text notification, pulled out her phone to check it, and with a slight smile, she texted back, "Not bad, shook off two tails."
Since leaving the hotel, Ye Jian had been walking along the street, attentively observing her surroundings as she did in her past life, ready to flee immediately if necessary; the habit remained till today.
