Now reading: Chapter 78 79 - Do You Believe in Gravity? from Reborn in Type-Moon, My Sister is Aoko Aozaki, a Action novel by RuneA.

The Kuonji family mansion is located on a hill far from the station, nestled at the end of a long slope as if deliberately avoiding the hustle and bustle of the city.

However, this also ant that traveling from that ghost-mansion-like residence to the station on the other side of the city would take a considerable amount of ti.

It was already sunset when they left, and with the long walk, the sky had gradually been covered by the darkness of night before they knew it. The streetlights on both sides of the road slowly lit up.

There were still at least four stations and a stretch of country path to go before they reached their ho in the suburban mountains. Aozaki Rin didn't feel impatient with the rather ti-consuming journey; after all, he had long since grown used to it over the years.

However, he still felt a little apologetic that his sister, Aozaki Touko, had co specifically to escort him, because he could have actually gone ho by himself.

"I'm sorry, Sister Touko, for always troubling you like this."

"It's fine. Think of it as exercise. After all, if I stay in the workshop all the ti, my body will get rusty. Besides, although you're wearing this glasses-type Mystic Code now, its actual effectiveness still needs to be tested. It would be terrible if it stopped working midway through."

"It won't. The things Sister Touko makes don't break that easily. That phonograph has been working for years without any malfunctions."

"Now that's so high praise. But these glasses, in the end, are a little different from a phonograph."

Aozaki Touko let out a light laugh. In the end, that phonograph that could read text for the boy was just sothing she had tinkered with for fun in the past. She had never imagined that Aozaki Rin would treasure it so much that it hadn't malfunctioned even once to this day.

But it was precisely this attitude of the boy—treating things that others might unconsciously dismiss as unimportant as precious treasures—that made him seem sowhat cute in certain aspects.

"By the way, did Sister Yuika teach you anything new at the church today?"

Like an ordinary older sister's concern for her younger brother, Aozaki Touko asked casually, as if it were nothing important.

"About the sa as usual, just recognizing so new characters... But Sister Touko, why did Sister Yuika say that only after becoming adults can boys and girls bathe together?"

Frowning, Aozaki Rin looked up, his face filled with obvious confusion.

After all, if it was sothing that wasn't allowed now, why would it be okay in the future?

"What?"

Aozaki Touko's pretty face froze for a mont as if she had been startled. She couldn't understand why the nun at the church would specifically tell the boy this. After all, given that nun's personality, she wouldn't do so deliberately unless there was so preceding reason.

Looking at the innocent confusion on Aozaki Rin's small face, as if rembering sothing, Touko suddenly spoke with a sowhat serious tone.

"Wait a minute, Rin, let ask you a question first. Don't tell that until recently, Aoko was still going into the bathroom with you?"

"Mhm."

Not quite understanding why the girl would suddenly bring this up, Aozaki Rin still nodded subconsciously and added.

"But not since last ti, because I told Sister what Sister Yuika said about not being able to do that. So, why is it not okay now, but it will be okay in the future, Sister Touko?"

"Well... you'll understand when you're older. You don't need to know so much right now."

Not knowing how to explain it for a mont, Aozaki Touko gave a slightly forced smile and changed the subject.

In fact, she wasn't struggling with how to explain this problem to the boy right now; rather, she was speechless at her sister Aoko's behavior.

Although she had known for a long ti that her sister Aoko and the boy were very close, she had never expected that even at this age, this intimacy hadn't changed at all.

For a mont, suspecting that she might have to visit that "idiot" sister of hers in prison in the future, Aozaki Touko's feelings were a little complicated.

I have to give her a good talking-to. It's one thing when Rin is still young, but doesn't that idiot have any fear of the police showing up at her door one day...?

Though she was a magus, she was now scolding her good-for-nothing sister based on the rules of the mundane world. Touko sighed helplessly.

In the midst of their conversation, the two of them slowly arrived near the station.

However, compared to usual, Aozaki Rin felt that the station seed particularly deserted today. Aside from the crackling static of a malfunctioning illuminated sign, there were no other sounds.

Sitting on the platform bench with Aozaki Touko, waiting for the next train to arrive, although Aozaki Rin felt that the air around them had a strange feeling, he couldn't be sure.

And as he was thinking, with a beam of light illuminating the dark tunnel and a rumbling sound of wheels on the tracks, a train gradually ca to a stop at the platform.

"The train's here. Let's go, Rin."

Putting away the palm-sized magic notebook in her hand into her uniform pocket, Aozaki Touko took the boy's hand and entered the train.

But to her slight surprise, for so reason today, there were no other passengers in the train car. At the very end of this car, a middle-aged man in a black overcoat sat alone.

Not thinking much of it, the mont the train doors closed, Aozaki Touko subconsciously led Aozaki Rin to sit at the other end of the car.

However, just as she and the boy had taken their seats, the middle-aged man who had been sitting diagonally opposite them, seemingly resting with his eyes closed, suddenly opened his black eyes, which were like raw iron, and spoke as if to himself.

"Do you... believe in gravity?"

Hm?

Not thinking that the other person was talking to himself, which ant the only other possibility was that he was asking the two of them, Aozaki Touko frowned, glanced at the middle-aged man at the end of the car with confusion, and decided to ignore him.

Even for a pick-up line, isn't he a bit too old for this...

ntally complaining about the man's strange behavior, Aozaki Touko was about to take out the notebook from her pocket to continue pondering so problems when she noticed that the boy beside her had, for so reason, grown sowhat serious, his body slightly tense.

"What's wrong, Rin?"

Thinking that the boy had been scared by the man's inexplicable way of striking up a conversation, the girl was about to say sothing comforting, but to her surprise, Aozaki Rin answered.

"Sister Touko, that person... he slls of blood. He didn't just now, but suddenly..."

Aozaki Touko froze for a mont. A sense of alarm, like an electric current, shot up her spine to her head.

Her pretty face imdiately beca expressionless. She instinctively shielded the boy behind her, stood up, and her eyes, cold as ice, fixed on the man in the distance as she demanded.

"A magus?"

However, the man did not answer her question, just continued as if to himself.

"That there is an attraction between people? In the past, I didn't believe this saying, because it was mostly just coincidence."

"But now... Heh, to think I would run into the heir to a True Magic the mont I arrived in this land. Perhaps this is proof of what I just said."

The man let out a light laugh, turned his gaze, and t the girl's eyes.

And in that instant, it was as if she had been targeted by a higher-level creature on the ecological niche. The girl's body froze for a mont.
