Father Xu glared at him. "You’re different. You’re not Qiao Yanqiu’s son, and Jie You isn’t her biological grandson."
Xu Chunyan really wanted to say, ’I wish Jie Jingwei was Qiao Yanqiu’s son and Jie You was her biological grandson. That way, they could inherit the Qiao Family’s assets with a legitimate claim.’

Jie Jingshan froze. ’I actually believe she can protect him.’ Her reliance on Qin i was becoming extraordinary.
Qin i helped Jie Jingshan lie down on the bed. As Jie Jingshan watched in a daze, Qin i inserted a single silver needle into an acupoint on her neck. Jie Jingshan’s tense body instantly went slack, and her eyes closed.
"Sleep now," Qin i said softly. She helped her out of her jacket, pulled the covers over her, then walked out of the room, locked the door, and pocketed the key.
"Qin i, get inside." Seeing that she wasn’t obeying, Jie Jingchen’s face darkened, and a sharp command escaped his lips.
Just then, Father Xu entered, with Xu Chunyan and Jie Jingwei trailing behind him.

"Qin i," Jie Jingchen cut her off, his expression cold.
Xu Chunyan sneered inwardly. ’Qin i is so foolish and ignorant. She’s the one who seduced Chunwang and lured him into her trap, giving her the chance to dislocate his jaw. Now that Dad is here in person, Jing Si will definitely be crippled, and Qin i will be maid as well. Only then will the hatred in my heart be satisfied.’

"Jie Jingchen, you’ve got it all wrong! I’m not gloating, I just thought of a sentence," Qin i said, trying to suppress her laughter as she explained to him. She didn’t care if the others misunderstood, but she felt the need to make things clear to Jie Jingchen.
