Jie Jingjue froze for a mont before letting out a sigh of relief. So, Fourth Brother understood. He got it. But his reaction was far too calm. His sister-in-law had betrayed him, secretly getting pregnant, yet Fourth Brother was completely composed. ’No man could possibly be magnanimous enough to forgive his wife for sothing like that.’
"Fourth Brother," Jie Jingjue said, looking at him sympathetically. "Fourth Brother, what are you going to do?"
Jie Jingchen ignored him and turned to leave, but Jie Jingjue stopped him, grabbing his shoulder tightly. "Let go."
"Fourth Brother, she betrayed you, and she even..."
"Shut up." Jie Jingchen cut him off, reminding him sharply, "Have you forgotten my warning?"
"Fourth Brother," Jie Jingjue said indignantly, incensed on Jie Jingchen’s behalf.
"Jie Jingjue, it’s best you stay out of this. Otherwise... you know the consequences." Jie Jingchen’s warning had escalated into a threat.
Jie Jingjue’s brows furrowed deeply. He let go of his grip. Jie Jingchen shot him a warning glare, then strode away.
Jie Jingjue stood frozen, unable to snap out of it for a long ti. ’Fourth Brother is truly magnanimous to forgive her for sothing like this. His feelings for her must run incredibly deep.’
’Forget it! If Fourth Brother, the one directly involved, doesn’t care, what’s the point of clinging to it?’
When Jie Jingchen returned to the room, Jie Jingshan asked curiously, "Fourth Brother, what did Fifth Brother want with you?"

Qin i looked up, shooting him a glance. In front of him, she wasn’t afraid of being exposed.
After all, her cover of being illiterate had already been blown in front of Jie Jingchen.
"A prescription," Qin i answered.
Jie Jingchen didn’t ask any more questions. When he saw that Qin i was finished writing, he placed the dical report in front of her. Qin i glanced at it, then looked up at Jie Jingchen.
"What is it?" Qin i asked.
"The dical report." Jie Jingchen watched her, his arms crossed over his chest.
Qin i’s brows knitted together. "I know it’s a dical report. I’m asking what you an by this."
"Mom left out a word. You should add it," Jie Jingchen said.
Qin i frowned. She didn’t quite understand him, so she picked up the dical report, flipped it open, and said after a glance, "There’s nothing wrong with the report Mom wrote."
"One month pregnant," Jie Jingchen pointed out.
"Detecting a pregnancy at one month is perfectly normal." Qin i still didn’t grasp the deeper aning behind his words.
"One month pregnant. One month ago, where were you, and where was I?" Jie Jingchen asked.
Qin i froze for a second before realization dawned on her. A smug smile spread across her face. "It’s fake anyway. Why get bogged down in the details? It’s not necessary."
’A month ago, he was in Shijiu City and she was with the Sun Family. The total ti they’d spent together was only half a month. If the dical report said she was one month pregnant, then who was the father?’
’Good thing it’s all fake. Otherwise, she’d never be able to clear her na.’
"Jing Wu found the dical report," Jie Jingchen reminded her. Seeing that Qin i still looked indifferent, Jie Jingchen said bluntly, "He’s convinced you betrayed ."
The mory of Jie Jingjue’s pitying gaze made Jie Jingchen feel deeply annoyed.

Qin i watched his childish behavior, speechless. Suddenly intrigued, she leaned over the desk, looking at Jie Jingchen opposite her. "Jie Jingchen, be honest with . Since Jing Wu was convinced I cheated on you and was pregnant with another man’s child—even though I’ve miscarried now—did he chew out? Did he try to persuade you to divorce ?"
Jie Jingchen’s expression stiffened. He frowned at Qin i. "No."
"I don’t believe you." ’With Jie Jingjue’s temper, there’s no way he could have stayed calm about sothing like this.’
"He really didn’t," Jie Jingchen said.
"Jie Jingchen." Qin i stared at him, her eyes narrowed. ’It’s not like I’m going to go settle scores with Jie Jingjue. Does he really need to be this defensive?’
"I didn’t give him the chance," Jie Jingchen said, the words rushing out.
"Now that, I believe." Qin i had no doubt. If Jing Wu said sothing he didn’t like, he’d just threaten him. Qin i’s fingertips tapped on the desk, a seemingly casual but deliberate gesture as she asked, "Will he spread it around?"
