Jie Jingchen was boiling water. Seeing Qin i co in, he said, "The water’s hot. Go get the bucket."

"Jie Jingchen, these are the blueprints I drew. Take a look." Qin i handed two sheets of drawings to Jie Jingchen.

Jie Jingchen took them and studied them carefully. Truthfully, he didn’t understand. Before he could even ask, Qin i inquired eagerly, "Well? Do you get it?"

"No," Jie Jingchen answered honestly, shaking his head.

Qin i frowned. "How could you not? I drew them very clearly and labeled everything."

Qin i brought over a small stool and sat next to Jie Jingchen. She pointed to the blueprints and began to explain. While Jie Jingchen hadn’t understood from the drawings alone, he got it once Qin i talked him through them.

When she finished, Qin i’s throat was parched. She swallowed hard and looked at Jie Jingchen. "Get it now?"

"I get it." Jie Jingchen nodded. He wasn’t pretending; he truly understood. "Go get so water."

Qin i got up and walked out of the kitchen, while Jie Jingchen stared at the blueprints, lost in thought.

After a drink of water, her throat felt much better. Qin i carried the bucket to the kitchen.

Qin i was carrying her bathwater, not yet at the toilet, when a figure dashed past and occupied it. Qin i wanted to curse. Jie Jingchen always waited until everyone else had gone to their rooms to sleep before he boiled water. For Hu Wan’er to snatch the toilet at this exact mont, it had to be intentional.

’I’m building a new kitchen and a new toilet. Construction starts tomorrow.’

"What’s wrong?" Jie Jingchen ca out of the kitchen and saw Qin i standing furiously outside the bathroom. The door was closed and the light inside was on. "Who?" he demanded coldly.

"Hu Wan’er," Qin i said helplessly, crossing her arms. In this family, only a few people targeted her: Xu Chunyan and her husband, and Aunt Zhang and her daughter. If Xu Chunyan had been the one to occupy the toilet, Qin i would have given her a taste of her own dicine the next morning. After all, Qin i didn’t have to go to work. Xu Chunyan would be the one in a rush.

But since it was Hu Wan’er, Qin i felt a bit stuck. She didn’t have a job, and neither did Hu Wan’er. They both had all the ti in the world to drag this out.

"Fourth Sister-in-law, sorry, my stomach hurts. You’ll have to wait a bit," Hu Wan’er said apologetically. She wasn’t actually using the toilet; she was just standing inside.

’City toilets and village toilets really are different. Village toilets are so slly you leave in a hurry as soon as you’re done. With city toilets, you even have to flush. No wonder those educated youths wrack their brains trying to get back to the city.’

"It’s fine. I’m not in a hurry, so take your ti," Qin i said nonchalantly. She pulled Jie Jingchen back to their room, grabbed a book, and then went to the yard. She moved the wicker chair from under the tree and placed it right outside the toilet, where she sat down to read.

"Fourth Sister-in-law, are you still out there?" Hu Wan’er asked.

"I am," Qin i replied. "I’m waiting right here."

"Fourth Sister-in-law, I have diarrhea, so you’ll have to wait a while longer," Hu Wan’er said, her voice full of false apology, but her face wore a gloating smile.

"No rush." Qin i sat comfortably in her wicker chair, reading her book. After a while, Hu Wan’er started to feel uncomfortable. There was no stool in the toilet, her legs began to ache from standing for so long, and on top of that, she was getting incredibly bored.

’Thinking about it, Qin i was just waiting to take a bath, not desperately needing the toilet. If this dragged on, she wouldn’t be the one suffering—I would. I’m just torturing myself.’

Rubbing her aching legs, Hu Wan’er opened the toilet door. When she saw Qin i sitting contentedly in the wicker chair reading a book, anger welled up inside her. Rembering Xu Chunyan’s words, Hu Wan’er smiled sarcastically and taunted, "Fourth Sister-in-law, can you even read?"

"I’m illiterate," Qin i said, closing her book as she started to stand up.

"Oh no! My stomach hurts again!" Hu Wan’er clutched her stomach and retreated back into the toilet, slamming and locking the door with a BANG.

’How childish. Whoever occupies the toilet first is the king.’

But patience has its limits. Qin i could have tolerated it if Hu Wan’er had just stayed inside. But coming out only to go straight back in? That was a blatant provocation.

’If she likes being in the toilet that much, then I’ll let her stay in there until she’s had her fill.’

Qin i turned and went back to her room. A short while later, she returned to the toilet. Through the crack in the door, she sprinkled so powder inside. A mont later, she heard a THUD as a body hit the floor. Qin i dusted off her hands and left, satisfied.

Jie Jingchen was leaning against the doorfra, arms crossed, watching Qin i approach with great interest. He asked in a low voice, "What kind of powder did you use?"

"A special powder," Qin i replied with a grin. "She likes being in the toilet so much, so I let her stay in there to her heart’s content."

"Will it be fatal?" Jie Jingchen asked.

"No." Qin i shook her head. Suddenly, her expression changed, her eyes narrowing dangerously. She asked sarcastically, "What? Starting to feel sorry for your ’fake cousin’?"
