Hurting Qin i, however, was a different story. She was a daughter-in-law, after all.
"Sis, don’t worry. I know my limits. I’m just going to intimidate him a little," Xu Chunwang said in a low voice.
"Chunwang, in a minute, you grab Jing Si. Mom and I will deal with Qin i. Rember, he’s injured, so don’t hurt him. Otherwise, I’ll have a hard ti answering to my father-in-law," Xu Chunyan reminded him in a low voice.
"Don’t worry, Sis. You can count on ." Xu Chunwang puffed out his chest. He hadn’t co to beat anyone up; he was here to back her up.
In his eyes, Jie Jingchen was no match for him; he could take the man down with a few punches. As for Qin i, a frail-looking woman, he wouldn’t even deign to lay a hand on her. If word got out that he had, it would ruin his reputation.
Qin i was shielded behind Jie Jingchen, so he couldn’t get a clear look at her face. The impression he got was that she was delicate and weak. He couldn’t figure out how his sister had been bullied so badly by soone like her.
"So, you’re the Fourth Wife of Jing?" Liu Guihua stepped forward, her face cold as she stared at Qin i behind Jie Jingchen. "You’ve got the guts to bully my daughter, but not to face ? Get out here! Stop hiding behind a man like a coward."
Challenged at her own door, Qin i was not one to back down. She stepped out from behind Jie Jingchen to stand beside him, watching Liu Guihua with complete composure.
When he got a clear look at Qin i’s face, Xu Chunwang’s eyes lit up. He stroked his chin, openly lusting after her. "Jie Jingchen, your wife is a real looker. I like her."
Xu Chunyan knew perfectly well that her brother had taken a fancy to Qin i. She didn’t say anything to stop him. As long as he didn’t physically attack Jie Jingchen, she had no problem with him using insulting and provocative words to get under Jie Jingchen’s skin.
Jie Jingchen’s chest rose and fell slightly. His expression hardened, and a cold glint flashed in his dark eyes. His hands slowly clenched into fists, and a chilling, terrifying aura emanated from him.
Qin i reached out and placed her hand in Jie Jingchen’s palm. He froze for a second before his large hand closed around her small one. He glanced down and saw her give him a smile. Her smile had a healing quality; his tense body relaxed slightly, and his expression softened.
"Jie Jingchen, I like this wife of yours. Lend her to for a few days," Xu Chunwang said with a lecherous grin. This wasn’t just a deliberate provocation; he ant every word.
’Such a delicate little beauty. Who wouldn’t be tempted after seeing her?’
’That Jie Jingchen is one lucky bastard. Where did he find such a captivating little beauty?’
Jie Jingchen’s eyes narrowed, his expression turning glacial as a terrifying, hostile aura exploded from him. "Scram."
Xu Chunwang felt a jolt of fear. ’To think I’m actually scared of Jie Jingchen. Pfft! He’s retired and injured. What’s there to be afraid of? This is ridiculous.’
Before Jie Jingchen retired, Xu Chunwang had been genuinely afraid of him. But after his retirent, that fear was gone.
Xu Chunwang flashed that lecherous grin again. "Little beauty, Jie Jingchen hurt his back. He definitely can’t satisfy you. Why don’t you co ho with for a few days? I guarantee I’ll make you..."
"Alright," Qin i cut him off. A smile blood on her stunning face, but it didn’t reach her eyes.
"Huh?!" Xu Chunyan was shocked that she had agreed so readily.
"Hmph!" Xu Chunyan snorted, her eyes filled with contempt. "Shaless."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Liu Guihua also looked disgusted. She despised such indecent behavior. Even if her own son was the beneficiary, she still looked down on a loose woman.
’However,’ she thought, ’if the Fourth Wife of Jing really does go with my son, and if he works hard and gets her pregnant with an Xu Family child... We could have the Jie Family raise the kid, and then when the child is grown, the Xu Family can claim them back. It would be perfect.’
Qin i tried to pull her hand away from Jie Jingchen’s, but he refused to let go, gripping her small hand tightly. His grip was so strong it made her wince. She looked at him and reminded him, "Jie Jingchen, you’re hurting my hand."
"Qin i." Jie Jingchen frowned, his eyes darkening.
"Trust ," Qin i said, giving him a reassuring smile.
Jie Jingchen hesitated for a few seconds before his grip loosened. Just before pulling her hand away, Qin i lightly scratched his palm.
Qin i brushed back a strand of hair, her movents as bewitching as a siren’s. She began walking toward Xu Chunwang with a seductive sway in her hips.
Xu Chunwang’s breath hitched. Watching Qin i approach, he was practically drooling. ’She’s seducing ,’ he thought. ’She’s definitely seducing . Just how long has this little beauty been starved for attention?’
Xu Chunyan rolled her eyes. Suddenly, she was filled with regret. ’I shouldn’t have brought Mom and my brother to the Jie Family during the day,’ she thought. ’I should have waited until everyone was ho from work. Especially so Qiao Yanqiu could see just how shaless and desperate the daughter-in-law Jing Si married is.’
Qin i stopped. With the big and burly Xu Chunwang and the petite, delicate Qin i, they looked like a real-life Beauty and the Beast.
