As they were eating, i Langchi and Ye Qing ca downstairs.
Ye Qing seed in good spirits today, her hair freshly washed and still damp. With a face full of smiles, one arm was linked with i Langchi’s. It was clear that she was in a good mood.
In contrast, i Langchi’s face was cold, if not outright blackened. Clearly unhappy, yet for so reason, when he looked at Ye Qing, he tried to force a smile or an affectionate look.
Such obvious actions, everyone could see it, and Ye Qing certainly noticed.
She knew i Langchi was angry because of what happened last night. She thought it was no big deal; they were a married couple, and it wasn’t the first ti. Although there were so unpleasantness in the past, from the way i Langchi treated her over the past few days, she thought he’d forgiven her, otherwise why would he be with her?

They hadn’t finished eating when guests started arriving to pay their respects.
