After the policy changed, they thought about renting it out. The sign has been up for half a year, but there hasn’t been any movent.
The first floor is over a hundred square ters, and the very inside of the ground floor is a kitchen, which is very large. Lin Wan feels quite satisfied. There’s also a small courtyard at the back, around fifty or sixty square ters, not too big, and it seems like no one has been here for a while, as the backyard is overgrown with weeds. The second floor has five bedrooms and a corridor in the middle. People seem to have lived here as the walls inside are very dirty.
This kind of house is indeed difficult to rent out; people doing business usually don’t need so many rooms.
Lin Wan took a look at downstairs and then upstairs, thinking it was alright.
"Brother, what was this place used for originally?"
"They said it was originally ho to a relative of a governnt official, who lived here for a while and managed not to pay rent through connections. Lin Wan didn’t think it was unreasonable. The place they are renting now is thirty, and this one is over two hundred square ters with a courtyard. Fifty isn’t expensive as long as there is business; don’t be afraid of high rent.

"They said you could pay half a year at a ti and hold a month in reserve, or pay for three months at a ti, but then the rent is five bucks more a month."
Lin Wan frowned upon hearing this. In the restaurant business, rent and renovations are always the major costs. She knows this.
Lin Wan roughly calculated their finances and realized they didn’t have much money, so they could only pay for three months upfront even though it ant paying five dollars more a month. This way, they could ensure their cash flow.
The two of them roughly discussed the matter and then went to the managent office to sign the rental contract. Before leaving, they discreetly handed two packs of cigarettes to the responsible staff mber, asking them to date the contract later to give them ti to renovate the place.
The staff mber was pleased with the gesture and eagerly promised, "Just run your business, it’s governnt property; no one would dare cause trouble."
With this reassurance, Lin Wan felt more at ease.
On the way back, the siblings discussed the na for the hot pot restaurant and decided to call it Shuxiang Pavilion Hot Pot.
The two rented the place and began to divvy up the tasks. Lin Yinghui went to the market to buy several buckets of white paint and started painting the store himself.
Luckily, the floor didn’t need much work, as it was already covered with tiles.
The courtyard had forrly been used for a flour business, so the kitchen was relatively clean.
When Lin Wan returned to the store, she pulled Zhang Shuhua aside and talked for quite a while. Eventually, Lin Wan put up a job ad outside.
It wasn’t until the evening on the way ho that Liang Hongi saw the job ad on their store’s door.
Only then did Lin Wan tell Liang Hongi about their renting a new storefront.
Liang Hongi was so angry she wanted to hit Lin Wan. Seeing the situation, Lin Wan quickly ran back ho.
But once she reached ho, she saw her brother covered in white dust, and Liang Hongi’s anger choked her up. She chose to ignore them, deciding not even to cook fried at that night.
The siblings saw how truly upset their mother was and dared not say a word, obediently frying the at and heating up water for her.

Returning to the room, she saw Mom wasn’t even reading and was pretending to sleep directly on the bed.
