Chapter One.

The car stopped in front of the hospital building, and Zhou Hanliang glanced back at Luo Xiaoqiong, who was staring blankly at the car roof, "You stay in the car, I’ll go get so water."
Luo Xiaoqiong quickly sat up straight, "Do you know where to get the thermos bottle?"
"Jing Zhe is on duty tonight, just get two from him."
"Then you go get the water, and I’ll go to the equipnt room," Luo Xiaoqiong said as she pushed the door open and got out of the car. "What are you going to the equipnt room for?" Zhou Hanliang asked, looking puzzled.
"I need so ice to relieve the swelling in my eyes. ijun’s mom brought so friends over, and if they see us drinking and crying, who knows what they’ll think of us."
Zhou Hanliang felt a headache coming on, realizing he also knew that crying like this wasn’t good... He handed her the car keys, "Get the ice and use it in the car."
Luo Xiaoqiong’s face imdiately lit up with a smile, "You’re such a considerate man, if Doudou ever has a fight with you and wants to break up, I’ll definitely speak well of you."
Zhou Hanliang: "..." Initially, it sounded like a complint, but the latter part... it was practically a curse. What kind of person does that?
Seeing Zhou Hanliang’s speechless expression, Luo Xiaoqiong quickly realized her words were inappropriate and hurried to nd things, "I just wanted to express my gratitude. How about I change my words; in the future, I’ll only speak well of you in front of Doudou, never a bad word."
"Alright, you just want to agree to let you sit in the car a bit longer before going back. I’ll co back in fifteen minutes; any longer won’t be appropriate. The guests still need water."
Usually, persuading people was Zhou Hanliang’s forte, how could he not understand the sweet words Luo Xiaoqiong was showering him with?
Luo Xiaoqiong nodded repeatedly, "That’s plenty, fifteen minutes is enough. Instructor Zhou, you’re truly a competent leader." With that, she dashed off into the distance.
"Why are you here?" Jing Zhe asked worriedly, standing up as Zhou Hanliang pushed the door open, "Is there sothing wrong?"
"No, no, I just ca to borrow two kettles..." Zhou Hanliang sat across from him, unable to hold back a sigh as he conveyed the night’s events.
"Gave a scare, I thought soone was ill." Jing Zhe relaxed and sat back down, "It’s normal for them to drink a bit more when parting if they’re close. By the way, did Chuxia drink?"
"I don’t think so..." Zhou Hanliang thought for a mont, though sowhat uncertain, "I couldn’t really tell, anyway, the Division Commander took her out, and she didn’t look so well."
"I’ll call and check; if she did drink, let Zhou Mikang make her so honey milk." Jing Zhe said as he picked up the phone and dialed, asked a few questions, and hung up smiling, "Thankfully, she’s sensible, she didn’t drink, and is already asleep."
After hesitating for a mont, Zhou Hanliang looked at him seriously, "Jing Zhe, I know this isn’t a suitable question, but for the sake of your relationship with the boss, I still want to ask."
Jing Zhe looked at him openly, "Go ahead."
"Do you like my sister-in-law?"
"I do." Jing Zhe remained open-minded.
"Isn’t that inappropriate?"
"What’s inappropriate about that?" Jing Zhe smiled lightly, "She’s my adoptive sister; isn’t it normal to care and like her?"
"Jing Zhe, you know that’s not what I an..." Zhou Hanliang glared at him discontentedly, "I an that kind of liking, don’t play dumb with , and don’t deny it."
"That kind of liking..." Jing Zhe muttered and was silent for a while, then seriously looked at him, "You’re right, I do have a bit of that kind of liking for her.
But I truly see her as a sister now, and in the future, she’ll only ever be my sister. I know you’re standing up for Zhou Mikang, but you needn’t worry, I’m not that kind of person.
I’m almost getting married; you know that. If you’re still unsure, I’ll bring ili over tomorrow, and I’ll swear in front of her, alright?"
"You misunderstood ..." Zhou Hanliang looked at him with a sigh, "I’m not standing up for the boss, and I know you’re not that type either.
I’m just worried about you seeing you like this. When the day cos that you can face her calmly, without caring about what others say, that’s when she’s truly just a sister to you."
"Am I that obvious?" Jing Zhe touched his nose uneasily, "I’ve already tried not to involve myself in their affairs since Lin Wenbin arrived."
"Which is why I say you have a guilty conscience." Zhou Hanliang shrugged at him, "If you weren’t guilty, why avoid it? Sotis, even though you’re more suited for sothing than Lin Wenbin, you insist on waiting for him to do it. Don’t you think that’s an issue?"
