Chapter One.
-----------------
"Are we going for a marriage certificate tomorrow?" Jianming frowned as he looked at the woman smiling happily in front of him, "I just got the divorce certificate today. Going for a marriage certificate tomorrow, do you think it’s okay?"
"What, are you really divorced and now can’t let go?" The smile on Yao Xinqing’s face gradually faded. Having been this man’s lover for so many years, she knew him better than he knew himself.
"Unreasonable..." Jianming’s expression darkened, "You know whether I have feelings for her or not. Saying things like this, don’t you feel guilty?
If I really couldn’t let go, would I be holding this piece of paper?" He threw the divorce certificate in front of her, "Speaking of it, even if her father ignores her, her status is still there. As long as I’m with her, others will have reservations.
And you? With you, what can I get besides being laughed at by others? All these years, you have been with , why did your parents and brother consent?"
"Yes, my parents and brother are greedy, and they never treated as a real family mber. All they wanted was to get sothing, and then so more.
But you knew this before, and because of their indifference, you cherished even more. How co I’m still , and my family is still the family they always were, but suddenly you can’t accept it anymore?
Jianming, being with you all these years, do you think I’m Yuqiong, unable to tell which of your words are lies and which are true? What you’re really unhappy with now is that Yuqiong left you without a trace of reluctance, and you are unhappy that from now on, even fantasizing about getting benefits from her father is impossible!
Heh..." Yao Xinqing laughed bitterly, "I guess this is karma. All these years, I’ve been ruining other people’s families, feeling rather justified, and now, this is the outco.
Even if I marry you, soon in the future, there will probably be another woman around you. No matter what her identity or appearance, I’m sure there will certainly be such a person.
You’re just the type, always wanting both the pot and the bowl, never wanting to miss anything. If you were really to guard one, you’d feel like you lost out in life."
"You’re crazy!" Jianming glared at her and turned into the bedroom, slamming the door with a "bang," followed by the sound of the lock clicking shut.
"Heh..." Yao Xinqing stared foolishly at the door and laughed, tears and snot uncontrollably streaming down. She had always believed that he was different for her. But now it seems she was just too narcissistic!
He was her first love. She loved him so much that when she found out he was marrying Yuqiong, her heart shattered, but she felt what he said made sense.
His family was ordinary, and hers was even below average. If they were really together, her greedy parents and brother would have taken them to their graves.
Back then, he told her that his decision was unfair to her, and he hoped she would find a good partner, living a life of abundance.
But she refused without thinking, insisting she only wanted to be with him.
So, he said if she really felt he was the one, could she give him so ti until he truly had the ability to take care of her, and then return to her side.
In the end, this so-called so ti lasted longer than she ever imagined!
Initially, she truly loved him, wholeheartedly waiting for him.
Later on, she beca disappointed, saddened, wanting to break up with him. At that ti, he didn’t want to break up, asking for more ti, promising to give her the life she wanted.
So, she believed him.
Waiting and waiting, she gradually ran out of patience. In fact, she secretly went on blind dates, but every ti she compared them to him, she felt none of them could compare, so in the end, she truly waited for him to co and marry her.
Over ti, this waiting beca a habit. She could ignore others’ gossip, and as for her parents and brother, as long as she could bring money and food ho, they wouldn’t care whether she married or not.
In fact, they were especially afraid she’d marry because once married, she could no longer provide such significant help to the family. If it weren’t for wanting ho as her refuge, she wouldn’t foolishly bring everything back ho.
She thought perhaps she’d spend her life waiting, and she ca to accept it. Maybe it was her destiny.
