"Why did you go out?"
Ye Hao noticed Gu Yi coming back from outside and felt rather surprised.
"Look, I made so at jerky for you. I made a bit too much, so I delivered so to Sister-in-law Ye and their family."
Gu Yi pointed to the at jerky airing out on the table, placed the basket down, and took the bowls inside it to the kitchen.
"Why did you make these for ?"
Ye Hao watched as Gu Yi ca out from the kitchen.
"When I’m not here, if you get hungry, you can have so snacks. The at jerky is delicious, lasts long, and is nutritious. Give it a try."
Gu Yi handed a plain-flavored piece to Ye Hao.
Ye Hao didn’t take it but bent down to take a bite directly from Gu Yi’s hand.
"How is it, is it tasty?"
Ye Hao chewed for a while.
"It’s really delicious, thank you, honey."
Ye Hao stepped forward and hugged Gu Yi’s waist.
"I have to go to school this afternoon. You’ll have to endure eating at the cafeteria again. Make sure to eat well, and once you finish these, I’ll make more next ti I co back."
Gu Yi stuffed all the jerky left in her hand into Ye Hao’s mouth.
"Alright, don’t worry. Cafeteria food definitely isn’t as good as yours, but it’s edible. I used to manage without it too. Now, with you improving my als every week, I’m quite satisfied."
"Your requirents really aren’t high. Once these are dry, I’ll pack them. After eating, make sure to tightly seal the bag. These with chili powder are spicy; the others are plain."
Gu Yi cautiously instructed.
"Okay, I’ve got it. Why don’t you pack so for ? I’ll bring so to the captain; he’s even more pitiful than I am."
Ye Hao spoke lightly but didn’t feel sorry for Li Yifan at all. After all, he hadn’t found himself a partner sooner—he deserved it, hahaha.
Gu Yi found a bag and packed so of both the spicy and plain ones.
"Yiyi, I’m heading to train. Be careful on your way, and call when you arrive."
Ye Hao had training in the afternoon and couldn’t send Gu Yi off, so he had to remind her now.
"Alright, I know. I travel this route every week, very familiar with it, don’t worry."
Gu Yi nodded and agreed.
Ye Hao left with the at jerky.
Originally, she had planned to bring so to Wang Yuan, but seeing there wasn’t much left on the table.
Though she made quite a bit, after distributing among a few families, there wasn’t much left. She decided not to bring any to Wang Yuan this ti, and would do extra next ti to share with her.
After tidying things up and packing the jerky for Ye Hao, Gu Yi went out and took the shuttle to the city.
Ye Hao delivered the at jerky to the office and handed it to Li Yifan.
"What’s this?"
Initially, both were single. Whenever there was sothing tasty, they’d share with each other.
So Li Yifan naturally took the bag over.
"My wife made the jerky specifically for , fearing I would not get enough nutrition while she’s not here on base. I thought my brother, alone, could use so too."
Ye Hao spoke proudly.
Li Yifan just stuffed a piece in his mouth, realizing this guy was not sharing because it was tasty but to show off.
He gave Ye Hao a sideways glance, chewing the jerky firmly.

"I must say, you lucky guy, Gu Yi’s skills are pretty good, she really cares for you, and it was not wasted for you to teach Chen Jun a lesson for her."
Li Yifan admitted frankly.
Ye Hao couldn’t help but smile at the corners of his mouth.
"If you want to laugh, just laugh. Holding back isn’t good for your health."
Li Yifan remarked with annoyance.
"Hey, how’s Gu Yi and Yitian’s new store doing now?"
Li Yifan suddenly rembered what his uncle had asked him recently.
Li Yitian had only said he was collaborating with Gu Yi but hadn’t shared specifics with them.
"I’ve heard it’s doing well, but I didn’t ask much about it."
Regarding business matters, Gu Yi didn’t tell him much, and he didn’t inquire further.
Ye Hao told Gu Yi to definitely let him know if she faced difficulties. Even if he didn’t fully understand the business, he’d find soone to figure things out.
"Alright, judging by this, the two of them should be doing well. I’m also wondering if Yitian was influenced by Gu Yi. My uncle ntioned that they’ve arranged match-making for him, and he occasionally attends."
The first ti Li Yitian agreed to go, his parents were thrilled.
Though nothing eventually ca of it, him willing to take this step was good enough.

Ye Hao heard Li Yifan’s words and couldn’t resist praising Gu Yi.
"Hey, stop, stop. I noticed you’re about to beco the ’show-off wife fanatic.’ It’s really terrifying, hurry back to your office."
Li Yifan saw Ye Hao was about to go on indefinitely.
He quickly blocked Ye Hao, sending him away to avoid tornting his single status.
Ye Hao also felt a bit embarrassed.
"Then I’ll head back."
He smiled, rubbed his head, and quickly left.
Gu Yi left the base around three in the afternoon, returning ho near the Art College at nearly five.
Though it’s October, the weather was still quite hot.
Once ho, Gu Yi took a shower, made so noodles, ate them, and headed to school.
Gu Yi and Ye Hao spent one week seeing each other at school and on the base each week.
Once in a while, when Ye Hao took leave, they could et more often.
The wheel of ti slowly moved forward in these ordinary yet hopeful daily routines.
In a blink, it was December.
It was Friday again.
The two stores were readying for new winter outfits. Gu Yi didn’t want this to delay her chance to see Ye Hao, whom she sees only once a week.
She and Li Yitian had planned in advance to set up the clothing for both stores on Friday.
Gu Yi, too, took no break during the noon and hurriedly organized clothes for Jingying Second Store.
In the evening, Li Yitian ca to pick her up to go to Jingying First Store.
It was already ten o’clock, and Gu Yi was busy with Li Yitian when soone suddenly called out to him.
Li Yitian looked up and saw his mom had arrived.
"Mom, why are you here?"
Li Yitian was quite surprised since his mom usually didn’t visit the store, especially late at night like this.
"You said you’d be working overti, and since I’m free at ho, I thought you might be hungry and brought so food over."
Mrs. Li spotted Gu Yi and showed a face of excitent.
"Who is this..."
"This is Gu Yi, my partner, whom I ntioned to you last ti."
Li Yitian introduced Gu Yi to his mother.
Gu Yi noticed Mrs. Li’s expression suddenly turned a bit disappointed.
"Hello, Auntie."
Gu Yi greeted briefly, not saying much more.
"Hello, hello, working late at night—thank you for your hard work."
Mrs. Li’s friend passed by and saw Li Yitian with a girl, so she called Mrs. Li.
Mrs. Li thought Li Yitian had found a girlfriend. She was excited on her way here.
Not knowing it was already married Gu Yi upon inquiry.
Though disappointed, Mrs. Li quickly regained herself.
She greeted Gu Yi enthusiastically.
After greeting, Gu Yi went about her tasks.
"Mom, we have to work for a bit longer. Find a seat, and once we’re done, we’ll head ho together."
Li Yitian understood his mom’s intentions. Though feeling helpless, she had co all the way here. He couldn’t let her go ho alone this late.
