After lunch the next day, Gu Yi and Ye Hao returned to the city.
When they got ho, they found that there were guests in the house.
But the atmosphere at ho was strange.
Gu Yi looked carefully at the person.
Then she knew why the atmosphere was tense, and the Ye Family was clearly a bit angry.
"Mom, Dad, who is this?"
As soon as the person heard Ye Hao calling out, she went up to Ye Hao and Gu Yi with a big smile.
"These must be Qianqian’s brother and sister-in-law. The man is handso, and the woman is beautiful. Truly a match made in heaven. You’re really blessed, elder sister, your family all looks so good."
Ye Hao looked at the person in front of him, not knowing who she was, but the tone of her speech was not likable.
"And you are?"
Ye Hao asked the person in front of him.
Although Gu Yi knew the person was Wu Liang’s mother, she had never t her before, so she just stood aside.
"Oh, my mind! I’m Wu Liang’s mother. I heard from Wu Liang that he wants to marry your Qianqian, so I ca to get to know you first."
Upon hearing this, Ye Hao’s smile vanished.
"Did Wu Liang tell you that? Where is he now?"
Ye Hao’s face turned stern, displaying the aura of a soldier, which made Wu Liang’s mother a bit uneasy.
But she looked around, thinking if her son married Ye Qian, she could live in such a beautiful house and have plenty of money to spend.
So she hid all her fearful emotions.
"Our Wu Liang is still at ho, but he says he and Ye Qian are deeply in love. Ye Qian wanted our family to propose early, so I ca over to et the daughter-in-law first."
She still said with a stiff smile.
Ye Fu was incensed upon hearing this and turned to Ye Qian.
"Did you say anything to Wu Liang?"
"Dad, I’ve told you several tis, I haven’t said anything about this to him. Why don’t you believe ?"
Ye Qian said, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Gu Yi hearing Ye Qian knew Wu Liang’s mother had been there for a while.
"This person has co to our door, how can we believe you?"
Ye Fu’s hands were trembling with anger.
"Dad, don’t be so angry. I know my daughter’s temperant. If she says she’s done sothing, she’ll admit it, but things she hasn’t said or done, she would never admit."
Ye’s mother comforted Ye Fu.
"Dad, Mom is right, we shouldn’t distrust our own family because of a few words from outsiders. I believe Qianqian hasn’t said anything to Wu Liang, and definitely wouldn’t ask soone to co propose early."
After Gu Yi spoke, Ye Qian ran over, hugging her, crying out in grievance.
"Sister-in-law, I really haven’t said those things."
"Qianqian, it’s okay, your brother and sister-in-law are back. We won’t let anyone wrong you easily. It’s impossible for soone to use such vile ans to ruin your reputation to marry you."
Gu Yi patted Ye Qian’s back, firmly speaking.
"Hey, how can you talk like that, sister-in-law? What do you an by ruining soone’s reputation? It’s not of our own volition. I just ca today, how did it turn out we’re not?"
Wu Liang’s mother, trying to move away from Ye Hao, moved closer to Gu Yi after hearing what she said.
Pretending to be aggrieved, she said.
"Madam, is it your son who said I wanted him to propose, right?"
Ye Qian stopped crying. Her sister-in-law’s words filled her with courage.
She couldn’t let her family suffer any grievances because of her.
"Yes, aren’t you trying to deny it now?"
Wu Liang’s mother arrogantly questioned.
"Fine, then call Wu Liang over. Let’s go to the police station. If I haven’t said these things, I will sue him and have him put in jail."
Ye Qian said resolutely.
"You..."
Wu Liang’s mother looked at Ye Qian, confused about how she changed so quickly from being wronged as she had been explaining since she arrived.
How did she beco so fearless now?
"If you can’t bring Wu Liang over, then we’ll go to the police station now and report you for slander, making my dad sick with anger."
Ye Qian added.
Wu Liang’s mother, shaken by Ye Qian’s deanor, finally ca to her senses.

Wu Liang’s mother said nonchalantly.
"Ye Hao, isn’t Director Liu at the police station your forr comrade?"
Gu Yi suddenly chid in from the side.
"Yes, he is. I’ll give him a call."
Ye Hao said, flipping through the phone book by the phone.
"Hey, brother of their family, we’re just dealing with so personal matters, no need to trouble the police, right?"
Seeing that they had connections at the police station, Wu Liang’s mother didn’t want to be tricked into going there and began to speak softly to Ye Hao.
"Madam, people at the police station are just. They won’t wrong a good person, nor will they let a bad person go. If you don’t want to go over, I can tell my comrade to co over here."

Ye Qian felt that with her brother and sister-in-law back, she had more confidence, and with her brother knowing people at the police station, she longer had to fear Wu Liang’s mother.
"I don’t know anyone there. Your sister-in-law bluffed her."
Ye Hao said with a laugh.
"Ah, after sister-in-law said it and you followed up, I really thought you were serious."
Ye Qian said, sounding a bit disappointed.
"Yiyi, your reaction is pretty quick, huh?"
"You’re not bad either, you got it right after I said it."
The two of them exchanged smiles.
"Ah, we just helped soone once and we ended up causing all these troubles."
Ye’s mother sighed from the side.
"Mom, don’t worry, I was really foolish before, even going against the family for soone like that. After what happened, I won’t have anything to do with Wu Liang anymore, you can be at ease."
Ye Qian felt she had been a fool, but at least she hadn’t taken things further with Wu Liang.
After the stir caused by Wu Liang’s mother, even if Wu Liang were a good person, she wouldn’t consider him anymore.
Gu Yi looked at Ye Qian and knew she had truly figured things out this ti.
She felt although Wu Liang’s mother was infuriating, she wasn’t entirely useless.
At the very least, she made Ye Qian completely give up on Wu Liang.
When Wu Liang’s mother got ho and recounted what happened.
Wu Liang realized his mother was mostly tricked.
It seed he couldn’t rely on his mother.
He’d have to co up with his own way to get Ye Qian.
