When Ye Honglian and Wu Chuni headed back, Gu Yi gave them so fruit to take with them.
She also packed so apples in a basket and went out with them.
"Where are you going?"
Wu Chuni watched Gu Yi co out with the fruit and asked.
"Didn’t they say Fang Hong is pregnant? I’m bringing so apples for her."
Ye Honglian nodded as she listened.
Though Gu Yi is young, she’s good at social interactions.
When they first heard that Fang Hong was pregnant, they also brought so eggs to visit her.
"Fang Hong has been having morning sickness lately; bringing her so apples is a good idea."
Ye Honglian recalled her own pregnancy when she couldn’t eat much, only craved fruits, but life was tough then, so she hesitated to buy many fruits.
Eventually, she ended up eating tomatoes and cucumbers as fruits.
They all headed toward the dormitory building.
Ye Honglian and Wu Chuni, with their children, worried that the kids might cause trouble at Fang Hong’s place, so they just greeted Gu Yi and returned ho.
Gu Yi went alone to knock on Fang Hong’s door.
It was Li Jianjun who opened the door for her.

"Is today a day off?"

Fang Hong walked out from the bedroom, looking a bit tired, but otherwise fine.

Gu Yi quickly went up to help her.
"Take it easy. I arrived this morning, just heard from Sister-in-law Ye and Sister-in-law Wu that you’re expecting, so I ca to see you. Congratulations."
Gu Yi helped Fang Hong to a chair.
"Thank you, sister-in-law. I just found out recently. I wanted to get pregnant sooner, but now that I am, it’s really uncomfortable."
Although Fang Hong said this, Gu Yi still saw the joy in her eyes.
"I’ve heard from others who’ve experienced it that it’ll get better in a while. Make sure to rest more and be careful in the first three months. I just found out too, and brought you so apples to try."
When Gu Yi was pregnant with Huanhuan, aside from liking to sleep, she didn’t have any particular reactions.
She handed the apples to Fang Hong.
Li Jianjun brought a glass of water from the kitchen and placed it in front of her.

Gu Yi also smiled and said.
"Sister-in-law, thank you. Just seeing these apples makes want to eat them. Jianjun, could you wash them for ?"
Probably because of the pregnancy, seeing the apples made Fang Hong’s mouth water.
Although she felt a bit embarrassed asking Li Jianjun to wash the apples in front of Gu Yi, she couldn’t help it.
"You’re welco. It just so happened I brought so today. If you like them, I’ll bring more next ti."
Gu Yi thought it was normal to crave things during pregnancy.
"Sister-in-law, there’s no need. I’m just happy you ca to see . I’ll have Jianjun buy them later. This is a good ti to make him fetch things for ."
Fang Hong said sweetly with a smile.
Li Jianjun, hearing her words as he ca out with the washed apples, smiled along.
"Okay, if you like them, I’ll get more for you tomorrow. Just tell if there’s anything else you need."
Li Jianjun handed the apples to Fang Hong.
"Sister-in-law, have one too."
He also handed one to Gu Yi.
"I’ll pass. Let Fang Hong have them. At a ti like this, eating what you crave is important for the baby to grow well inside. I should get back to cook now. Fang Hong, make sure you get plenty of rest."
Seeing the sweet interaction between the two, Gu Yi felt a bit out of place.
With a smile, she found an excuse to leave.
"I understand, sister-in-law. Take care."
Li Jianjun hugged Fang Hong and said with a smile.

Fang Hong thanked her and saw Gu Yi to the door.
Chen Jun’s mother took Gu Yi’s advice to heart and thought about it all night at ho.
She decided to visit Yang Lin the next day.
She didn’t talk to Chen Jun about this.
Early the next morning, she waited for the bus at the entrance outside the army base.
Along the way, she asked around and reached the army hospital.
Chen Jun’s mother stood outside the army hospital, looking up at the tall buildings.
Thinking of Yang Lin working in such a grand place.
If Chen Jun brought her ho, she could boast about it for ages back in her hotown.

The building looked massive from outside, and even grander inside.
She couldn’t read, and had no idea which floor Yang Lin was on.
Just then, a nurse passed by, and Chen Jun’s mother hurriedly stopped her to ask.
"Doctor, hello, could you please tell where I can find Yang Lin, Doctor Yang?"
The nurse, seeing the unfamiliar woman, imdiately assud she was from the countryside, as newcors to the city often mistook nurses for doctors.
"Doctor Yang is on the third floor, in the internal dicine office."
Though slightly impatient, the nurse still gave her the information.
"Thank you, doctor."
Chen Jun’s mother thanked her, glanced around, and realized she didn’t know how to get to the third floor.
Finally, after asking another patient’s family mber, she found the stairs to the upper floors.
Once on the third floor, she searched room by room.
She finally found Yang Lin in an office near the end of the corridor.
"Yang Lin, auntie finally found you."
Yang Lin was talking with Wang Li when she heard the words from outside.
She looked up to see it was Chen Jun’s mother.
She was quite surprised to see her there.
Wang Li saw soone co for Yang Lin and greeted her before returning to her own office.
As Wang Li passed by, Chen Jun’s mother thought about how girls in the city seed prettier each one she saw.
She managed a flattering smile at Wang Li.
Wang Li returned a polite nod.
"Auntie, why are you here? Is there sothing you need?"
Yang Lin rembered hearing from that bully about how Chen Jun’s mother asked him to put on a show.
To make Li Dongxiang divorce Chen Jun.
Yang Lin felt a bit angry with Chen Jun’s mother about this. Even if she didn’t want Li Dongxiang as a daughter-in-law, she shouldn’t have had soone help like that.

Chen Jun’s mother thought about it all night. She decided that to bridge the gap with Yang Lin, she could exploit Yang Lin’s affection for Ye Hao.
She first wanted Yang Lin to let her guard down, then slowly achieve her goals.
Yang Lin’s expression softened slightly after hearing this.
She’d heard that Li Dongxiang took a large sum of money from Chen Jun’s family when she left, so Chen Jun’s mother visiting, likely was to get so money back.
If it could trouble Gu Yi, Yang Lin didn’t mind spending a little money.
