Ye Hao felt especially sad and guilty after listening to Li Yitian’s words.
He always said he wanted to be good to Gu Yi, but he ended up falling into soone else’s trap.
Thinking about what he had done to Gu Yi recently, Ye Hao almost wanted to slap himself.
"Yitian, can you tell where Yiyi is? I need to explain everything to her clearly."
Ye Hao could only start by getting information from Li Yitian.
"Actually, Gu Yi still has to go to school, so her new ho isn’t far from here. I can take you to her."
Li Yitian thought it would be better to let the two et and clear things up, so he decided to take Ye Hao to find Gu Yi.
Gu Yi took today off because she had a prenatal check-up in the morning.
She thought that after returning, she could take another nap in the afternoon, so she took the whole day off.
Li Yitian and Ye Hao knocked on the door outside for quite a while.
But Gu Yi was sleeping too soundly inside and didn’t hear a thing.
Ye Hao quickly pressed his ear against the door to listen for any sounds from inside.
"Are you sure Yiyi is ho?"
Ye Hao asked Li Yitian next to him.
"I’m sure, yes. She said so yesterday, said she’d be ho today. I even thought about joining her for dinner in the evening, but she said she wanted to rest and didn’t want to go out."
Li Yitian said with certainty.
This made Ye Hao anxious – sothing might have happened to Gu Yi at ho.
He knocked more forcefully.
Still, no one ca to open the door.
"Move aside a bit; I’ll kick the door open."
Ye Hao signaled to Li Yitian to step back.
"Ye Hao, maybe Gu Yi is just sleeping and didn’t hear it, don’t..."
Before Li Yitian could finish speaking.
Ye Hao had already kicked the door open.
Li Yitian looked at the door violently kicked open by Ye Hao and sympathized with it for a second. He suddenly thought that perhaps even the calst person loses their senses when it cos to soone they like.
Gu Yi had also heard the knock and was about to co out of her room to open the door.
This really gave her quite a scare.
She clutched her chest with her hand, stunned in place.
After kicking open the door, Ye Hao saw Gu Yi.
He hurriedly ran forward and hugged her.
"Yiyi, are you alright?"
After hugging for a while, Ye Hao quickly let go of Gu Yi and checked her shoulders.
"Are you guys here to demolish the house?"
Gu Yi finally recovered after a long ti.
She looked at the pathetic door fra with a big piece broken off.
Perhaps due to her pregnancy, she had been sleeping particularly deeply lately.
She had heard the knocking but thought she was dreaming, so she didn’t respond.
It wasn’t until the knocking grew louder that she realized it wasn’t a dream after all.
But she also lay in bed for a long ti, dazed, before slowly getting up to open the door.
She didn’t expect that just upon exiting her room, she’d get such a "surprise."
"We knocked on the door for a long ti, and you didn’t answer. We were worried sothing happened to you, so I kicked it open."
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Ye Hao scratched his head.
"Why are you here?"
After recovering from the shock, Gu Yi’s attitude cooled.
She gave Li Yitian, who was sitting on the sofa, a sideways glance.
"Ye Hao said he had sothing to tell you. I saw him anxious to find you and feared it was urgent, so I brought him over."
Li Yitian quickly smiled and said.
"Oh, I have sothing urgent too, so I better get going. Ye Hao, Yiyi, have a good talk."
Seeing the unfriendly look in Gu Yi’s eyes, Li Yitian thought it wasn’t right for him to stay.
As he spoke, he headed for the door.
Before he left, Gu Yi gave him a "We’ll settle this later" look.
Li Yitian quickly smiled apologetically and closed the door that Ye Hao had kicked open.
"Let’s sit down and talk."
Gu Yi first went to sit on the sofa.
"Yiyi, I’m sorry for all the distress I’ve caused you lately."
Ye Hao quickly followed and sat next to Gu Yi.
Gu Yi moved slightly away.
"There’s no need to talk about distress. It’s all in the past now. Just get straight to the point."
Gu Yi impatiently interrupted Ye Hao.
"I know you’re angry, but I never ant to treat you that way during that ti."
Ye Hao spoke, observing the emotionless expression on Gu Yi’s face.
Her attitude made Ye Hao sowhat fearful.
Gu Yi had never talked to him like this before.
It was as if she didn’t want to look at him any longer.
"I know. I also consulted a doctor before, who said your mory was confused. So, have you rembered everything now?"
Seeing Ye Hao reverting to his old self, Gu Yi asked.
But it seed whether he rembered or not, it no longer mattered to her.
"It wasn’t mory confusion. Yang Lin hypnotized , especially when I just woke up in the ICU. She kept feeding words about the hypnosis, making believe it was all true, which is why I did things that hurt you."
Gu Yi finally realized that there was no mory confusion; Ye Hao had been hypnotized, explaining his changes.
Gu Yi had seen TV shows in her previous life and understood what hypnosis was.
But after experiencing these events, especially after deciding to divorce Ye Hao, Gu Yi had thought things through.
In her previous life with Ye Hao, they had ended in such a way.
This ti around, though she initially thought their relationship was good,
they faced Ye Hao’s injury, and their relationship reverted to its previous state, even worse than before.
Although she knew these things weren’t Ye Hao’s fault, she felt this might be Ye Hao’s true feelings. He liked Yang Lin, and, due to the Ye Family’s parents, he was forced to marry her. So, once free from worldly constraints, his choices revealed his real thoughts.
At that ti, she decided that even if Ye Hao fully recovered and beca his pre-injury self, she wouldn’t want to anxiously wait for him to revert to how he was in the previous life.
"Okay, I understand. Thank you for specially coming to tell . It has eased my mind, knowing it wasn’t because I was lacking that you acted that way."
Gu Yi said with a smile.
But Gu Yi’s response chilled Ye Hao’s heart.
He initially thought that as long as he explained things clearly, Gu Yi would forgive him, but she responded with such indifference.
"Yiyi, I know I kept saying I’d protect you, but in the end, I hurt you the most. But please believe , I won’t do it again. Can you give another chance?"
Ye Hao spoke, even hearing his voice shake.
Nothing had ever scared him, but seeing Gu Yi’s smiling face, he was truly afraid.
He feared she wouldn’t forgive him, feared she wouldn’t want him anymore, feared she might leave his world forever.
"Ye Hao, I admit, I like you. I could even say I love you."
Gu Yi looked into Ye Hao’s eyes and said earnestly.
"Yiyi, I love you too, very much, very much. Please don’t be mad at anymore, okay?"
Ye Hao squatted directly in front of Gu Yi, holding her hand.
But Gu Yi pulled her hand away.
