Gu Yi only realized she’d forgotten to look for Wang Yuan after she’d organized everything.
Ye Hao’s place in her heart was becoming more significant.
After looking at the shop with Li Yitian, she thought about coming back to cook for Ye Hao.
She figured she could make another trip. There was still ti before school started, so it would be fine to visit in a few days.
The weather was too hot, and the bus didn’t have air conditioning.
The windows were open, but the dirt road leading to the base was dusty all the way.
That evening, she told Ye Hao about it.
Ye Hao couldn’t help but smile.
For the next few days, Gu Yi cooked at ho, waiting for Ye Hao.
After dinner, they’d take a walk together.
Back ho, they would chat a little.
Recently, they spent every day together, and their feelings for each other deepened.

A few days later, Gu Yi made another trip into the city.
She bought so fruit and went to Wang Yuan’s house first.

Wang Yuan was delighted when she opened the door and saw Gu Yi.
"Leaving? Where are you going?"
It was too hot, where could she be going?
"My parents said I passed this exam, so they’re taking to the beach. I’ve never seen the sea before."
Wang Yuanyi explained, and Gu Yi understood that she was going on a trip.
"Well, have a great ti. When are you leaving?"
Gu Yi asked with a smile.
"We’re leaving tomorrow, so you ca just in ti. If you’d been a day later, I would have already left to have fun."
"Seems like my luck is pretty good. I ca by to ask when school starts and what we need to prepare."
Gu Yi originally wanted to ask Wang Yuan’s mother, who was a teacher at the Art College, thinking she would know.
However, Gu Yi didn’t co at the right ti, as Wang Yuan’s mother wasn’t ho.
But it should be fine to ask Wang Yuan; she probably knew too.
"We start on September 1st too, and don’t need to prepare much, although there will be military training before school starts, which is daunting to even think about."
Wang Yuan said with lingering fear. She’d gone through military training in high school, standing at attention and marching every day in the heat, which was exhausting.
People said that the military training at the Art College was much stricter than in high school.
"It’s alright, the training shouldn’t be too long; just grit your teeth and get through it."
Gu Yi hadn’t been through military training, but she knew how hard Ye Hao’s training was every day.
She figured school military training should be much simpler than Ye Hao’s training, sothing she could endure.
"Yeah, that’s true. Worrying doesn’t help, and there’s no escaping it. So when I’m out having fun tomorrow, I’ll just imagine I’m getting a preview of the military academy’s sun exposure."
Wang Yuan got into a good mood as she thought about going out the next day.
"Well, I wish you a happy trip. Have you packed? I have so other business, and I’ll co find you when you’re back, okay?"
Gu Yi was thinking about asking Li Yitian about the shop front, as there was nothing urgent to do at school for the ti being.
"Oh, you’re leaving already? I wanted you to help decide what clothes to bring."
Wang Yuan seed disappointed to hear Gu Yi was leaving.
"Of course you should bring dresses to the beach, and be mindful of sun protection. Bring so long-sleeved clothes, and you could also take hats and scarves."
Gu Yi offered so suggestions.
"Okay, I’ll pack now. Thank you, Sister Yi Yi."
"You’re welco. I’ll take my leave then."
"Okay, bye, Sister Yi Yi."
Gu Yi left Wang Yuan’s place and thought, since she was close to ho, she might as well check on it.
No one had been staying there for days, so it was surely quite dusty.
When Gu Yi opened the door, it was better than she’d imagined.
She had closed the doors and windows before she left, though there was a slight sll in the house.
She opened the windows to let the air circulate.
She then filled a basin with water and went around wiping the place down.
When she was done, she left the windows open to keep it ventilated.
Gu Yi planned to co back later to close the windows if she had ti, otherwise, she would stay in the city and return to the base the next day.
Gu Yi took a bus directly to Li Yitian’s place.
"You’re just in ti. A friend of mine negotiated the shop’s price for you."
Li Yitian saw Gu Yi and poured her a glass of water, then told her about the shop.
"So, could you get a deal?"
Gu Yi asked.
"The shop’s 70 square ters, and the owner wants 145,000. That’s the lowest it’ll go. Do you want to buy?"
Li Yitian reported the price to Gu Yi.
"Alright, though it’s not cheap, I really want to buy it."
Gu Yi calculated and found the shop cost over 2,000 per square ter. While not cheap, she knew it would be a gold mine in the future, so she definitely wanted to own it.
"If you’ve decided, when are you available? Let’s sort out the paperwork with the owner."
Li Yitian knew Gu Yi’s determination; once she decided to buy, she would definitely go through with it.
"I’ll stay in the city tonight, so I’m free tomorrow. Are you busy tomorrow?"
Gu Yi didn’t want to delay; buying it sooner ant she could use it to open a new store.
"I’m available. I’ll bring my friend, and we’ll go find the owner."
"Great, I’ll treat you to lunch tomorrow."
Every ti Gu Yi did sothing in B City, she felt a bit bad about always troubling Li Yitian.
"Sure, I’ll choose sothing expensive."
Li Yitian laughed along.
"Pick whatever you like, any choice is fine."
Gu Yi said with a smile.
"There’s sothing I’ve always wanted to ask you."
Li Yitian suddenly got serious, looking at Gu Yi.
"What is it?"
Gu Yi straightened up instinctively.
"How much money have you made exactly? I know the dividends I give you and about your old store, but you’ve just bought an apartnt in B City and now this shop. You seem so confident that the money should be enough. I’m really curious."
Li Yitian voiced his confusion. He knew that while Ye Hao’s family was relatively well-off compared to others in the village, buying a house and a shop like Gu Yi was impossible.
"I knew you’d ask. Since we’re partners now, I’ll be honest. I also collaborate with Good Taste Food Co., Ltd in B City, and they give a share each year."
"Good Taste Food Co., Ltd? Isn’t that the big company in B City?"
Li Yitian looked at Gu Yi, almost in disbelief.
"Yes, that’s them."
Gu Yi nodded.
"How did you end up working with them?"
"I provided so food recipes, so the boss gave a stake in their company."
Gu Yi didn’t elaborate.
"I think you must have a special connection with money. Ever since partnering with you, my business has gotten better and better. And you’re working with such a big company! I better stick close to you, or I might find myself at the top of the world one day."
Li Yitian thought the more closely he worked with Gu Yi, the more he wanted to collaborate with her.
Her many ideas were simply amazing, from fashion coordination, shop decor, the chain store, to the brand and trademark.
