Now reading: Chapter 191: Why Did You Help Me? from Reborn in the 80s: The Smart Wife with a Secret Space, a Romance novel by Spring Splendor in the Garden.

She didn’t idle when she entered the space; using the flow of ti, she first mixed the two kinds of dough, thinking that once it was ready, it would be just the right ti to steam so dry provisions as a backup.

She picked so vegetables and made herself a bowl of hot noodle soup to fill her stomach before starting to sort out the items she planned to sell.

This ti, it wasn’t paddy she was selling, but high-quality rice after threshing. Although the wheat hadn’t been ground into flour, each piece was full and had a good color, likely having a higher extraction rate compared to ordinary wheat. It seed she should find a mill to experint with it when she had ti. But whether it was rice or wheat flour, the taste was definitely better than what’s available on the market; that was certain.

Another discovery was that in the space, no matter what type of item it was, as long as you wanted, you could know its weight. This was truly amazing.

After preparing most of the work, Yu Xinyan finally changed her clothes and stepped out of the space.

People were already gradually moving towards the alley at the intersection, so she took out a basket to disguise her intentions. After observing for a while, she entered the alley.

Instead of rushing to sell her items, she first walked around the alley. She encountered soone selling thread-bound books that might appreciate in value. Regardless, she picked a few to add to her collection.

At an inconspicuous spot on the side, she surprisingly found soone selling stamp albums.

There were hardly any people approaching, so Yu Xinyan stood for a while before going over. Upon recognizing the seller, she was slightly taken aback. Wasn’t this the sa young guy she saw at the black market in the city?

Yu Xinyan looked at the stamp albums, "Can I take a look?"

The young man nodded, "Yes."

Yu Xinyan picked up the album at the front. It was quite old. Although she didn’t know much about stamps, she saw the earliest ones had the characters of Daqing on them, followed by a significant portion from the Republic era.

The second one was filled with Liberation Zone stamps, and the third with New China stamps. After a quick look, even soone who didn’t understand stamps could tell that in the future, these three albums would be trendously valuable. She turned to the young man, "Are you sure you want to sell them?"

She could see the reluctance in his eyes, but he still nodded firmly, "Yes."

Yu Xinyan thought that if the young man didn’t face significant issues at ho, he probably wouldn’t sell sothing so valuable. She sighed internally, "How much are you asking for them?"

The young man raised his head upon hearing her, freezing there montarily. How could fate be so coincidental? Wasn’t this the sa young woman who bought his bracelet in the Sanyuan City’s black market? After composing himself, he cleared his throat, "I won’t sell them for less than one hundred."

Yu Xinyan looked at the stamp albums on the ground, "One hundred each?"

Upon hearing her question, the young man quickly shook his head, "No, one hundred for all of them."

He knew his grandmother cherished these dearly, but he had no choice. The money from the bracelet was running low, and the doctor said his grandmother’s surgery couldn’t wait any longer. Desperate, he had to sneak these out to exchange for money.

Yu Xinyan thought for a mont and then spoke, "These items may beco priceless in the future. Are you really set on selling them?"

The young man glanced at the stamp albums on the ground with a hint of reluctance, "As precious as they are, they are just objects. My grandmother can’t wait that long."

Understanding his plight, Yu Xinyan used the basket as cover and counted out two hundred yuan, "I’ll take these stamp albums. Here’s two hundred yuan, keep it safe."

The young man’s eyes, Ling Tianze, were filled with puzzlent. Last ti, this young woman didn’t bat an eye and paid thirty yuan for the bracelet, even giving him so apricots and a fish. His grandmother, who could hardly eat anything, surprisingly had no adverse reaction after consuming them.

He had tried looking for her in the city’s black market afterward but never found her, never expecting to run into her here and offered double the price, "Why are you helping ?"

Yu Xinyan knew she was being a bit impulsive, but she wanted to help within her ans, and even at double the price, she wouldn’t be at a loss, "Life has its way of bringing unfortunate tis.

I may not understand stamps, but I do know these are worth much more. If we are fated to et again and you have the ans to reclaim them, you can buy them back at ten tis today’s price, consider it forming a good bond."

Ling Tianze hadn’t expected Yu Xinyan to say such words, warming his heart entirely. Since the family’s troubles, everyone seed eager to step on them. He replied hoarsely, "Thank you."

Yu Xinyan smiled lightly, waved her hand, and turned to leave.

However, unexpectedly, Ling Tianze called out, "Please wait a mont."

Yu Xinyan turned back puzzled, "Is there anything else?"

Ling Tianze, slightly embarrassed, scratched his head and awkwardly asked, "Could you tell where you bought the fish you gave the other day?"
