Reborn in the 80s: The Smart Wife with a Secret Space Chapter 523: Living a Fulfilling Life
Everyone was at a loss for words after hearing this.
Bai Aiwen, after a mont of silence, said, "That’s good. They’ve done what I wanted to do, so I can finally let it go."
Zhang Zhaodi hugged the textbook and said, "Serves them right."
Cui Haili saw that it was getting late and didn’t want Bai Aiwen to think too much: "Quick, quick, quick, it’s getting late, let’s pack up and head to the classroom."
Xinyan had already prepared her textbooks by noon. She grabbed her books and water cup and walked out with everyone.
The first class was a professional course by Professor Tao. Throughout the class, Professor Tao didn’t speak a word of Chinese, teaching entirely in English, and constantly interacted with the students. Whenever a student couldn’t answer or answered inaccurately, he would ask Xinyan to answer or supplent.
No one thought much of it and assud the teacher had changed his teaching style.
Only Xinyan noticed that Professor Tao seed to be doing it on purpose.
After class, Professor Tao called her na along with that of class president Kong Yuexiang, asking them to follow him to the office.
When the two arrived, Professor Tao said, "I’ve called you here because there’s sothing I want to discuss with you."
As he spoke, he took out a few academic books: "These were sent by the research institute, and they want soone to translate them. I really don’t have the ti, so I recomnded the two of you. Are you interested?"
After speaking, he placed the books on the table and pushed them towards them: "Take a look."
Each of them picked a book. Xinyan picked a dical professional book, and Kong Yuexiang picked a chanical book.
Xinyan briefly flipped through it: "There’s not much else, it’s just that these professional terms might take so ti."
Kong Yuexiang nodded, agreeing with Xinyan. The chanical book he had was also highly specialized, and he feared inaccurate translations might cause issues for the research institute.
Professor Tao nodded at her words: "How about this? You each take a book ho, try translating a part first, and let them have a look. If there are no issues, you can continue. How do you feel about that?"
Neither Xinyan nor Kong Yuexiang had any objections. They each selected a book and then left Professor Tao’s office.
So, for so ti thereafter, whenever Xinyan went to her ntor to study Chinese dicine, she would occasionally call her two senior brothers to ask for help with Western dical terminology and jargon.
Afterward, from Monday to Friday, she would return to the small courtyard to enjoy the als Granny Zhang would prepare for her. On Saturday afternoons, she’d go with Granny Zhang to the house in the suburbs, where Sister Chen would also make plenty of delicious dishes to satisfy her cravings.
Apart from translating the book, she was also learning Chinese dicine with her ntor, making her days quite fulfilling.
Of course, during this ti, she didn’t forget to use her weekends to find two fixed suppliers, delivering goods once a week, with the plan to clear out the stock she had stored in the space before the holidays and head to the South during winter break.
Perhaps due to her study of Chinese dicine, the inquiries she made to her senior brothers about Western dicine often clicked instantly. Combined with her perfect recall, she found it increasingly easy and quick to translate, despite initial difficulties.
After translating a part, she submitted her work to Professor Tao.
The next day, there were results. The research institute was very satisfied, saying her translation had a high accuracy rate, with most of the professional terms needing no further correction. With this assurance, Xinyan continued to translate the remaining content.
