Qin Su’e apologized with a faint laugh. She didn’t actually go to the restroom, but rather ended up engaging in a long chat with Li Kun, hence the delay.
“So that’s why. It doesn’t matter, I was just worried sothing had happened to you. As long as you’re fine, that’s all that matters.”
Qin Xue smiled warmly at her, admiring this adept liar who could maintain an unflinching expression even while spewing falsities.

The waiter introduced the dishes as he served them to Qin Xue’s table.

“Sir/Madam, here’s the drink that you ordered.” The waiter arrived at their table with two glasses of wine.

“Qin Xue, it was who ordered it.” Qin Su’e hastily spoke. She said she had ordered it when she went to find the restroom and ended up asking soone since she couldn’t locate it.

While Qin Su’e was too guilty to look at her, Qin Xue took the opportunity to do sothing.

“It’s your treat today, why should you thank at all.” Qin Xue laughed at Qin Su’e.
“Fair enough, let’s drop the pleasantries and get down to enjoying our al. We can chat about other stuff after the al.”
Qin Su’e thought to herself that it was alti now and there wasn’t any extra ti to think things over, the best plan would be to think while eating.
“Alright, then I won’t hold back.” Upon hearing Qin Su’e’s words, Qin Xue sped up her eating, as if she hadn’t eaten in a long ti.
“Qin Xue, slow down, nobody’s snatching food from you.”
Though Qin Su’e said those words, she picked up her dishes at the sa speed.
“Hmm hmm, the food is quite good. I had no idea such a decent restaurant existed in the city, it’s really unexpected. No wonder their business is so great, it would be hard for them not to be rich.”
Qin Xue knew it wasn’t extraordinarily delicious, but she wanted Qin Su’e to know that she was very pleased with her arrangents.
