“I have no objection.” Fang Xiu agreed first, followed by Xue Ling and Chu Xiaoqiao. Even the three little ones nodded their heads, the smiling making them look so adorable that anyone looking would want to take a bite — they were just too cute.
“Alright, that’s settled then. Xiu, you and Xue Ling watch the kids, Xiaoqiao and I will cook.” Qin Xue instructed Fang Xiu, and then went to busy herself in the kitchen.
“Sister-in-law, what is that vegetable? It doesn’t look like pickled cabbage, but it kind of does.” Chu Xiaoqiao saw so vegetables soaking in a basin.
“That’s gruel water vegetables, they taste a bit sour and are very refreshing. They’re perfect with rice.” Qin Xue looked at the gruel water vegetables in the basin, she was going to use it soon.
“Oh.” Chu Xiaoqiao hadn’t eaten it before, so she didn’t know whether it tasted good or not. She’d just have to voice her opinion after trying it later.

“Feed brother.” Jingtao pointed towards his brother Yu Ze.
“Okay, you eat yours first, auntie will feed your brother.” Qin Xue passed Jingtao his little bowl and set aside two small portions to cool.
