Chapter 1250: Chapter 1244: Awkward_1 Chapter 1250: Chapter 1244: Awkward_1 Early the next morning, Chu Molin got up to exercise, while Qin Xue was allowed to sleep until she naturally woke up.
Realizing that she would be receiving guests today, Qin Xue got up reluctantly. The last thing she wanted was for Miao Qingqing and the others to arrive while she was still sleeping – they would surely laugh at her. Thus, she was determined not to let such an embarrassing scenario happen.
“Master, rise and shine. Eat this,” offered Xue Ling, extending a bottle to Qin Xue after she woke up.
“What’s this? It’s a bit sweet,” Qin Xue queried Xue Ling, only after consuming the contents in the bottle.
“You asked after consuming? Weren’t you worried I might have given you poison?” Xue Ling asked, looking at her master with surprise, her heart must be very audacious.
“Didn’t you say that my death would be your demise as well? I knew you wouldn’t risk your own life,” Qin Xue confidently retorted. She knew that she could trust Xue Ling, she wouldn’t just eat anything handed to her by just anyone.
“That was for your own good. Haven’t you noticed how awkwardly you are walking?” sighed Xue Ling. If it wasn’t for her presence, what would her master do?
“Uh…” Qin Xue’s face flushed at Xue Ling’s remark, suddenly feeling sowhat guilty.
“Alright, sit and rest for half an hour. You’ll be back to normal by then,” Xue Ling said, unable to bear Qin Xue’s embarrassed look – her face was so red it could almost cook an egg!
“Xue Ling, who else saw just now?” Qin Xue asked as she sat down on a chair next to Xue Ling, watching her tinker with her accessories.
“Only I witnessed it. They all went out; nobody’s ho,” Xue Ling reassured her, imdiately bringing a wave relief to Qin Xue’s heart.
“That’s good,” Qin Xue said, standing up and moving around after resting for half an hour. She felt much better now and was grateful to Xue Ling for having such redies at disposal – no more worrying about not being able to rise from bed!
“What did they go out to do?” Qin Xue asked out of curiosity. If everyone was gone, there would be no one to eat the breakfast she was going to prepare – what a waste that would be!
“To buy breakfast,” Xue Ling replied, recalling what Chu Xiaoqiao had ntioned.
“Good thing I asked, otherwise, I would have started cooking rice by now,” Qin Xue said, patting her chest in relief.
“Given your sleeping habits, by the ti you are done making breakfast, it will be ages!” Xue Ling’s sarcastic comnt made Qin Xue want to bury herself in sha. Hadn’t she ever heard of the saying ‘let bygones be bygones’?
“Still, it doesn’t hurt to eat, right?” Qin Xue countered before heading to freshen up. Since everyone was out, she decided to start preparing lunch instead.
“Auntie, ti to eat!” Jingtao shouted enthusiastically from the door.
“You guys are back,” Qin Xue noted upon hearing the shouts. She erged to find everyone had finally co back.
“Yeah, co join us for breakfast,” Chu Molin set down the breakfast on the table and called out to Qin Xue.
“Coming.” Qin Xue guided the two kids to the table and started feeding them their gruel.
“You eat first, I’ll feed them,” Chu Molin took over the bowl from Qin Xue so she could eat. He believed that his wife’s delicate fra shouldn’t have cold als, which may not be good for her health.
Chu Molin felt that Qin Xue was delicate only at this mont, otherwise he didn’t seem to be aware of it.
“Alright,” Qin Xue understood that her husband was indulging her, so she decided to abide.
Once everyone was done with breakfast, Chu Molin started reading his reports. Qin Xue and Chu Xiaoqiao were busy preparing the lunch while others watched the kids.
Everyone went about doing their own chores, co-existing in their own little worlds without disturbing one another.
