Chapter 1324: Chapter 1318: Recalling the Past_1 Chapter 1324: Chapter 1318: Recalling the Past_1 “That was quick.” Qin Xue happily receives the potion, as the one she’d been experinting with was flawed and ineffective on Qin Su’E. She had discussed this issue with Xue Ling, who decided to rework on the formula.
“Well, you’ll have to determine who’s worthy enough to test the efficacy. If it does not et your expectation, let know.” Xue Ling didn’t consider the process quick, it had taken almost a day to prepare the potion.
“Okay, I’ll definitely report the results to you. After all, it is the result of your hard work.” Qin Xue laughed with an air of subtle mischief, so much so that Xue Ling began to pity those unfortunate enough to cross her. The miscreants faced a fate of being treated with this new concoction, an enhanced version of the previous potion, coupled with a few curious additions. The individuals subjected to it were bound to question their life choices.
“Alright, but rember, only people you despise deserve this.” Xue Ling warned, “There is no antidote, and care should be taken that once used on soone, they won’t be seen in the public for at least a week; each dose intensifies the effect.” Xue Ling didn’t see any issues with creating such a concoction; she only saw need, and she fulfilled it.
“Got it. Thank you.” Qin Xue cheerily pocketed the potion, actually storing it away in her space instead.
Ye Xuan observantly watched the two of them, who were unashadly discussing the effects of this formidable potion. Was this really okay?
“Have so food, you can’t fill your stomach just by watching.” Chu Molin kicked him under the table.
“Big bro, do they always behave like this?” Ye Xuan asked Chu Molin in a lower voice.
“Occasionally, but she only does this to those who have offended her. Don’t worry, she won’t harm you.” Chu Molin studied Qin Xue and Xue Ling for a mont, only a few were fortunate to receive their rciful treatnt; their wrath was restricted for those who had wronged them significantly.
“Well, that’s a relief. I was genuinely terrified.” Ye Xuan shrugged. He didn’t need to think too hard to know the potion wasn’t for anything good just by hearing their conversation.
“Coward. She would not just poison anyone. The last ti she used the potion was because the recipient crossed a line. Do you know how difficult it is to make that potion?” Chu Molin had noted the array of potions Qin Xue had on display and they were giving him a headache.
“But when the two of them were discussing the matter, it seed effortless.” Ye Xuan indicated Qin Xue and her maid, Xue Ling.
“Let put it this way, assembling weapons seems easy, right?” Chu Molin shot a question at Ye Xuan.
“Yes, I could assemble them with my eyes closed, don’t you know how to do it too?” Ye Xuan nodded. It was child’s play for boys like them who had adored guns from an early age.
“But if you give the gun to Xue’er and ask her to assemble it, will you still think it’s easy?” Chu Molin resud his disrupted al, leaving Ye Xuan to ponder upon his words.
“I understand.” Ye Xuan thought for a while before realizing his misconception. To a physician like Qin Xue, potions are akin to trusted weapons, capable of both saving and harming lives. As long as the recipients had not committed unforgivable cris, a little lesson from her was justifiable.
“Then eat up quickly.” Chu Molin enjoyed his al. Nothing beats the als at ho, cooked lovingly by his wife.
Unlike outside, where a satisfying al is a rarity. A delicious one? An impossibility.
“Okay, my sister-in-law’s culinary skills are exemplary, even surpassing my mother’s.” Ye Xuan started to complint the al before going silent, his face suddenly fell.
