Chapter 1347: Chapter 1341: Rotten Wood Cannot Be Carved_1 Chapter 1347: Chapter 1341: Rotten Wood Cannot Be Carved_1 When Xiao Qi had finished work and went to pick up Nangong Beiying, the person was nowhere to be found. He thought that Nangong Beiying was avoiding him because she found him annoying, which had cast a cloud over his mood.

“Boss, I’m here,” Xiao Qi announced. His voice utterly devoid of cheerfulness.

“What happened to you?” Chu Molin ca over and noticed the sullen look on Xiao Qi’s face.

“Nothing important. What are you up to exactly?” Xiao Qi glanced at the iron rack that Chu Molin was working on.

“What else can I be up to? Qin Xue and Yingying ntioned they wanted barbecue. So here I am, setting up the rack. And where were you when I needed help? This thing isn’t a piece of cake to maneuver. And now, when you finally do show up, you’re in such a rotten mood. Were you reluctant to co?”

Chu Molin felt like smacking him right then. Instead of pin-pointing the root cause of his unsuccessful attempt at wooing a girl, here he was pulling a long face. Did she break up with him? Hell would have to freeze over before that happened. Didn’t he hear what the ladies were talking about? They’re not going to accept him that easily.

But Xiao Qi was clueless about this. Hence, he was taken aback by Chu Molin’s curt response.

“Boss, if I’ve done sothing wrong, could you please tell directly? No riddles, please. I can’t figure them out,” Xiao Qi complained, assuming he was being chastised due to so mistake he had made.

“Ugh, you’re as good as hopeless,” Chu Molin declared, exasperated. He decided to leave Xiao Qi to his own devices. Living a good life was Chu Molin’s primary concern.

“Boss, I truly don’t know what I’ve done to upset you. Isn’t it enough that I’ve co over to lend a hand?” Xiao Qi hadn’t paid proper attention to Chu Molin’s remarks earlier, and hadn’t caught him ntioning the barbecue planned by Qin Xue and Yingying, especially the fact that Yingying was involved.

“Fine. You do it then,” Chu Molin decided, handing over the entire setup to Xiao Qi.

“Okay, leave it to .” Xiao Qi readily agreed and began working on the task at hand.

“So naive.” Chu Molin sighed, exasperated.

“If he ans to stay thick-headed, there’s no use in talking sense into him,” Ye Xuan remarked from the living room doorway. He had been watching the entire interaction between them. “So of these blockheads won’t get it no matter how much you say,” he added as Chu Molin joined him.

“I honestly can’t believe how he’s made it this far as a boss. He’s got good luck coming out his ears,” Chu Molin grumbled. Xiao Qi might have a high IQ, but his EQ? Might as well be non-existent in Chu Molin’s opinion.

“Have you been worrying too much?” Ye Xuan speculated, watching Xiao Qi.

“No, it just annoys that he’s making Qin Xue work her fingers to the bone for no good reason,” Chu Molin replied. Every ti he returned, he’d catch Qin Xue fretting over them.

Qin Xue had been preoccupied with their affairs, hardly sparing any thought for herself, which irked Chu Molin. But how on earth was he going to articulate this sentint to Ye Xuan? Best to stay silent in a situation like this.

“But he doesn’t realize that, does he? Unless you tell him, he might never understand why you’re angry,” Ye Xuan pointed out, understanding Xiao Qi’s stubborn nature when it ca to romantic feelings.

“Let’s see what happens. Aren’t you idle? Help strip down so bamboo skewers,” Chu Molin proposed. With Xiao Qi occupied with the rack, soone needed to take care of the other tasks.

“Sure, I’ll help,” Ye Xuan agreed, shaking his head at the sight of everybody being ensnared by love. Little did he know, he too was about to be driven crazy by love.

He never expected that the woman he assud would still be around had left. When he went to find her, a huge surprise was waiting for him.
