Chapter 1380: Chapter 1374: Li Zhao Cos to Pick Up An Hao_1 Chapter 1380: Chapter 1374: Li Zhao Cos to Pick Up An Hao_1 “Alright, with all these tasty dishes your family has prepared, it’d be a pity not to indulge.” Li Zhao was now familiar with Qin Xue, so he wasn’t embarrassed to show his eager side. Although, in his defense, this was more of enthusiasm rather than fearlessness.
“See if third brother is around, call him over too, let’s have a drink together.” Chu Molin saw his wife go back to the kitchen, presuming there was still unfinished cooking, adding another bowl and chopsticks wouldn’t be a problem.
“Okay.” Li Zhao nodded and left.
“Third brother, are you at ho?” Li Zhao arrived at Xiao Qi’s house and knocked. The fellow, fearing being pestered about marriage at ho, had moved out, and seed quite content with his life.
“Zhaozi, what brings you here?” Xiao Qi had just returned ho from work when he saw soone at his door from afar. On approaching, he identified that it was Li Zhao.
“An’an visited Molin’s house and I was supposed to take her ho, but Molin’s family cooked a feast and invited us all to stay for dinner. I ca over to call back ho, so quickly change your clothes. Molin is waiting for you to have a drink. I’m just the ssenger.” Li Zhao gazed at the well-dressed Xiao Qi. They were both bosses, but of very different types.
“Okay, you make the call, I’ll freshen up.” Xiao Qi loosened his tie, set his briefcase down, and headed for the bathroom.
As Xiao Qi freshened up, Li Zhao retreated to the living room to phone ho since they were still waiting for him.
“Zhaozi, are you done? Let’s go.” Xiao Qi returned in different clothes to find Li Zhao still on the phone and called out to him.
“Mom, I have to go, Xiao Qi is calling .” Li Zhao said that to his mother before hanging up.
“You only ever call brother at such tis.” Xiao Qi looked down upon Li Zhao. Technically, he’s the older one and should be called brother. But here, he’s slightly younger than Li Zhao and thus beca “third brother”. Yet, Li Zhao is dating his cousin, so he should call him brother, but Li Zhao just refuses.
So, the two of them had a sowhat chaotic relationship: normally, he’s the “third brother,” but in front of the Lis and the Xiaos, he becos the older brother.
“What can I do? I really don’t want to call you that, but I’m afraid I’ll get beat up if I don’t.” Li Zhao is the one who really has it tough.
“Serves you right. Wouldn’t it be easier to just call brother? Besides, didn’t you say that Molin is waiting for us? Let’s go.” Xiao Qi walked ahead, hastening Li Zhao from behind.
“Why don’t you call brother?” Li Zhao wouldn’t listen to him; this was a matter of pride.
“Let’s not bicker about it anymore, let’s just keep it as it is now.” Li Zhao didn’t want to be on the losing end. If he could take a little advantage, he would.
“Next ti, I’ll ntion it to An’an, you’ll have to call brother from now on or else you’ll be sleeping on the couch.” Xiao Qi didn’t pay him any attention.
“You two sure are slow, those uninford might wonder what you’ve been up to.” An Hao had grown impatient from waiting.
“An’an, a young lady like yourself shouldn’t talk like that.” Xiao Qi stumbled a bit, puzzled as to where she learned to talk like this from.
“Fine, I won’t, but hurry up, we’ve been starving all day waiting for you two.” An Hao pouted, she wasn’t the typical lady who needed to put on makeup before leaving the house.
“My lady, where is this bold temper coming from?” Xiao Qi looked at her, noticing how she grew more childlike after giving birth to her own child.
“Xiao Qi, do you think I’m that old?” An Hao was at the brink of losing her temper.
“No, let’s hurry and eat. Weren’t you saying you’re hungry?” Xiao Qi tousled her hair, finding her as adorable as she was in her younger days, grown-up yet delightful to scold or reprove.
