Having completed her work, Nangong Beiying went to Qin Xue’s house. She had said she’d visit in the afternoon, so she went there early to avoid being late.
From a distance, she noticed that sothing seed off at Xiao Qi’s doorstep. As she moved closer, she was surprised to find him sitting there. She wondered why he was sitting outside his own house instead of going in.

She reluctantly placed him on the bed, took a glance around the room and was surprised to find it quite tidy – not at all like a typical bachelor’s place. She had not expected such a macho man to be so efficient at housekeeping.

“You fool,” Nangong Beiying murmured, startled by his sudden talking. However, she realized he was just sleep talking.
Nangong Beiying gazed at him, rembering Qin Xue’s words. Then, she did sothing she could hardly believe.
Nangong Beiying bent down to kiss Xiao Qi’s lips – the sa lips that had kissed her twice before and left her both tis utterly bewildered.
This ti, it was her turn to kiss him, to see if it would feel any different. She mimicked how Xiao Qi had kissed her.
The very next instant, Nangong Beiying opened her eyes wide. Xiao Qi was also looking at her, his gaze fixed and unblinking.
All of a sudden Nangong Beiying panicked, she straightened up to pull away, but Xiao Qi was faster, trapping her in his hold. A sigh of satisfaction escaped him, “Finally, I’ve captured you.”
